Just say this “No, I will not take on those responsibilities without the Arcane Science Fantasy Mel shirt it is in the first place but appropriate compensation and title that the work merits”. If they ask or respond in any way just say “I don’t feel comfortable” and leave it at that. They’ll bait you into saying more, stand strong Been there, done that. They won’t pay you more or bump your title for at least a year, if they ever do. Get the resume updated. Take the non-Raise promotion, do the work, update your resume, and just leave. A company that doesn’t want to pay you just doesn’t respect you. Don’t take it personally, its just business. Once you have some new skills, go out and find a company that values your work ethic and skills. Then you’ll get a raise.

Arcane Science Fantasy Mel shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

They are going to delay that pay raise until our sun turns red and engulfs us. More work and more responsibility means more pay, full stop. It’s possible this could work out well for you, but like others said… try to get the Arcane Science Fantasy Mel shirt it is in the first place but plan in writing. Get dates when the evaluation period will be complete so it doesn’t end up open-ended, and don’t be shy about talking about it! Being direct is a good thing in business, particularly in management. My brother went through this… started as a machine shop operator and got asked to step into a computer admin role on a trial basis. Now he is the director of Computer Operations for the same international company. It can work out. More responsibility and no more money is a recipe for failure. If they want you to step up, they need to step up too. It’s almost guaranteed that you will be putting in more work and more time to learn quickly. You’ll resent them if you’re not getting something for that effort. This would be an easy yes if they believe in you. Disappointing that this wasn’t the first step. You owe it to yourself to ask/demand this in exchange for the new responsibilities. 20% minimum bump. Your boss was making 50% to 100% more than you were.
