That way they have no ‘get out’ excuses ready for the Alexander Volkanovski Receipts Supporter Shirt Additionally,I will love this future and you can provide evidence of you hitting those goals/ targets. Don’t let them string you along for months only to then have them hire someone else and humiliate you into training them. If you come right out of the gate with “I don’t do extra work without extra pay,” they’ll give it to someone else and you just set your career at this company on fire. Why would you do that? Have a conversation with HR and the boss, ask them for measurable metrics and a timeline to make the raise a reality. Take the title promotion, learn as much as possible and update your resume with the new title and responsibilities. If they don’t give you those metrics, it’s obviously a red flag, but treat it as a training class. Do the work and get the experience WITH the title, put it on your resume, then jump companies for more money. If you are qualified for the position, and it sounds like you are since it is being offered, then they should pay you right away. Sounds like some free labor to keep things going while they search for the ‘right’ candidate. It sounds like bs. Get it in writing and trial period should only be 2-4 weeks. If you are qualified, there is no need for trial period, but here you are. I’d be looking for a new gig. I remember rising to a new position, and even tho I didn’t get a raise, I did receive quarterly bonuses And commission since day 1. There must be some in there for you. (My raise never came thru, but my total compensated went up to almost double) It’s a common practice, doesn’t make it a good one. I work for a smaller company, see the owner regularly. He pulled the same shit with my brother. He was going to move two states away and get our new facility up a running and for the right money he’d move his family. The week came and when my brother asked about pay, “You need to go prove yourself.”….. He said he’s good, lol, he’ll just sit right here. If they can pay others more for the position, they can pay you!

“I am interested in more responsibility and higher pay. Though for now, I think it is best to stay in my current role until you are comfortable offering me a manager position that reflects a higher wage.” I would say I’m happy to accept a 3-month (or 6-month if you’re feeling generous) trial period. After that, if they decide to go forward in this constellation, they will give you the Alexander Volkanovski Receipts Supporter Shirt Additionally,I will love this promised title and salary change. Agree on the exact title, salary and length of trial period in a contract signed by both parties. It could be legit, or they could be using you as a temp while they scramble to hire someone new. As others have said, require for the exact terms of this deal to be in writing. Exactly how long is this “probationary period” before you are officially offered the position. What happens if they decide not to offer it? What payment will you receive for the extra work. I’d look up some examples online to help decide what you’re comfortable asking for. I’d outright refuse, but that’s just me. I’m not looking to be handed more responsibility for no additional pay.
