Then it is up to you to decide if the 110th grey cup twisted tea halftime show shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this amount of work they expect you to do is reasonable. Push back if it isn’t, find a new job if it doesn’t change. But 8-10 hours is common, certainly working 45 hours in a week isn’t something you should be quitting over or causing a scene over. Many people with the anytime over 40 hours is free unpaid labor you are giving the company, are people who either are still in college or very early in their career. Yes you should set reasonable boundaries, but salary is not a set number of hours. We get paid fairly and well, Nickle and diming over a couple of hours every week is missing the forest for the trees. If you get paid 100k, but you work 60 hours a week, that is still good money.

110th grey cup twisted tea halftime show shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I evaluate every job offer assuming 50 hours a week. If it is more than that, I will push back/potentially look for other offers. If it’s less than that, then I’m a happy individual. 100k for 60 hours (plus all the 110th grey cup twisted tea halftime show shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this extra time for commute, etc) is not good. It’s your time and skills you’re selling. Even if you think 100k is good, someone down the street is making it for 40 hours. You’re doing 50% more work than they are, without the added 50% compensation. Second, it was a random number I chose as cost of living is different across the country and this person is a junior. That’s nowhere close to my salary. Third, you should assume there are at least periods of time where you work more than 40 hours. Government work is typically clock out at 5pm sharp, but there is also a reason the pay is lower. I’d rather earn 50% more and work 30% more.
