I don’t want to pass my chronic illness on. I have Crohn’s, which can be passed onto your children. My grandad had it and my dad has it, and I don’t want my child to go through what we’ve all been through. Even if my child didn’t have it, I would worry about being able to be a good dad during periods where I’m flaring up (and possibly undergoing hospital treatment). Have you looked around? The world is a damn disaster. Who could responsibly see everything happening and be like I should subject another human to this? Honestly it’s mostly the WNBPA We Are Breonna Taylor Shirt and by the same token and fact that I would have to give up a lot of things I REALLY love doing. It seems really selfish when I say it out loud, but I’ve been stressed out most of my life (chronic anxiety). Throughout highschool and college I was just thinking “god I can’t wait to be done with school so I can finally have time to relax” and then I was done and that changed to “god I can’t wait to be done with work so I can have time to relax”.

So personally, I feel like everything I do in life is just to get to that point where I can just relax and enjoy life and a kid would definitely not allow me to do that as often as I would like. I just don’t want my next thought to be “god I can’t wait for this kid to grow up and move out so I can have time to relax”. Because I now they would destroy all my books. Fuck that man, my books and my cats are my life, wouldn’t ever introduce anything that would harm either Micro: Passing on my depression to a child, also I get debilitating migraines sometimes. I’m functioning and have it under control, but I’m already constantly stressed out simply working, paying my bills, and trying to feed myself nutritious food, plus I don’t have enough savings to afford a child. I’m single and haven’t had a partner I’d want to raise a child with, nor the WNBPA We Are Breonna Taylor Shirt and by the same token and mental strength and physical stamina to do it alone. The idea of pregnancy freaks me out. I’m relatively introverted so I really value my recharge time, I become really cranky and snappy when I’m drained and I know I wouldn’t like myself for snapping at a child that behaves as a child naturally does.
