I agree entirely. It’s a strong smell and I can understand why that can be an issue in some contexts, but I was surprised that several comments implied it smelled bad (at least at the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this time of my initial comment). Which sort of alludes that previous signs that say “No food” have been ignored by staff, and a huge number of NHS staff are Indian. There could be a large Indian population that uses that Hospital/Library so making the distinction could be necessary, and traditional Indian food does use a lot of pungent spices. Didn’t read the article, did you? The sign does say no food is allowed in the Library. It then goes on to say “especially” the Indian dishes that it refers to as “smelly”. Because in the UK there is an extremely large number of Indian doctors and medical staff in the UK. The Library should not smell strongly of any food, and this sign is obviously pointing out the foods which have caused the most problems. The sign already says “no food allowed”. Completely unnecessary to then go on to specify a few specific foods that are “especially” not allowed… I think you miss my point. Food will never have been allowed in this library, but it has been ignored by people who have brought in foods with potent smells. While the library doesn’t want people to eat food in the Library, they especially don’t want people to eat foods that are strong smelling. Again, this notice is obviously because people have ignored the notice and brought in fragrant food.
Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter
Indian food is on average so much smellier than other foods though. But since they banned all food mentioning it specifically was a little out of line. I eat Indian food and that stuff does stink. I think it’s the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this curry…it can smell like body odor. My wife is a pinay and makes that smelly dried fried smelly fish which stinks to high heaven aswell. There were probably many prior incidents of people bringing their own food and stinking up the joint. I love Indian food, but the smell can be a real punch in the face. Just leave it at no food or drink. Who cares if it smells or not leave the rule there. But if u wanna add shit let’s start with seafood. And sure curry and some Indian foods have stone flavor but this seems pretty racist to me.
Man people will get upset and argue over anything huh? Indian food is really good. Some of it smells really bad. Nobody wants to smell food in a library. It’s not a cafeteria. Personal attacks, racism, bigotry, homophobia, grandstanding, etc. will not be tolerated and you will be banned. Witch hunting or brigading is not allowed. Do not post any public or private contact information. You will be banned!

We need to remember, nearly all of our biology evolved over millions of years. We’re the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this outliers. We’re the crazy organisms who found cereal grains or ruminant milk could provide sustenance. We’re the crazy organisms who needed managerial classes to manage irrigation, and religions to justify the prestige of that managerial class. We’re fucking weird. Some of us, who find they benefit from returning to environments more consistent with that which our ancestors experienced for tens of millions of years, aren’t the weird ones. The weird ones are those who deny this need exists. I’m sorry to break it to you, but just because you do something, doesn’t mean you evolved specifically to do it. so I saw video onyt about dark triad or something. so it explained that sociapthic or someone who doesn’t really care much about others is still useful since in past he would be hunting instead of caring about anyone else, is that just assumption 2??
and other r was where they said it doesn’t matter if u die the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this next day after u make a child, what matters is gene gets passed on. till 30 it’s fine after that u die or live doesn’t matter. The second point doesn’t exactly hold true since a single parent child is less likely to survive than one with both parents. We eveolved to be (fairly) monogamous animals for a reason. so I saw video onyt about dakr triad or something. so it explained that sociapthic or someone who doesn’t really care much about others is still useful since in past he would be hunting instead of caring about anyone else, is that just assumption 2?? and other r was where they said it doesn’t matter if u die the next day after u make a child, what matters is gene gets passed on. till 30 it’s fine after that u die or live doens’t matter.
It’s way more likely it was a good trait to pass because the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this individuals with the traits could happily raid the tribe next door, pillage their ressources and take their females. It s not that the dark triad doesn’t care about others (which would be a bad trait), it s that he can turn off empathy at will. As the top comment said, this is more concerned with psychology but in general, just like any machinery, our brains need to cool down, process the events it went through and sort them. Mental stress is quite hard to deal with and sometimes being on your own allows your brain to sift through it, be it a walk in the rain, sitting quietly in your room etc. Just in terms of social cohesion, not biology, getting a break from other people often improves relationships. Helps you avoid getting snippy and put small slights against you into perspective.
I have a theory that there’s a neurobiological cost to sharing a social space with other people that our brains spend in order to manage appropriate social cues and behaviors. That our subconscious is working in the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this background while we interact with others. And alone time allows both rest from active social management and time away to process as well. And if our society wasn’t built so alienating, “time to yourself” would just be stepping away to a personal space for maybe hours at a time. Not isolating on your own for days or weeks at a time the way we do now that we don’t even talk to our neighbors. I think it’s a muscle we build up and that can atrophy without use. I suspect it’s why suddenly everybody feels more socially anxious and has smaller social batteries post-pandemic and especially so if you suffer from a pre-existing neurobiological deficit. I’d recommend not thinking of Evolution in such terms. It’s possible that wanting alone time confers some evolutionary advantage, it’s also possible that it doesn’t really impact our ability to survive and reproduce. It could also be that it actively harms our survival chances, but is offset by other factors.
Psychology through an evolutionary lens is difficult to study in a meaningful way due to the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this fact that behaviour doesn’t get buried and fossilized. It’s also worth considering that for the majority of human history we were far more spread out, and population groups probably stayed somewhere in the dozens-to-hundreds numbers rather than it regularly going into the millions of today; and as such, we may not have craved alone time to the degree that it is often sought today. No. Herd behaviour is far from universal in animals. Reasons why being mostly alone may be adaptive include access to dispersed food or other resources and avoiding same-species predatory behaviour (eg alpha males driving out younger males). There are niches where herd defences or pack hunting strategies are not useful. With humans, it turns into psychology pretty quickly, but I’d say too much time with the herd dulls the brain and weakens independent thinking.
According to what I read in Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond (excellent book by the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this way), one of the most common ways to die in Paleolithic societies was homicide. The rates were very high too, like 10% of all deaths – and even higher among males. There may have been a survival benefit to breaking away from potentially dangerous social interactions to let emotions cool down, and take the time to plan peaceful solutions to conflicts. Opiate crisis was completely manufactured. Most cancer deaths are triggered by viral infections that came from someone. Even loss of sleep has a predatory component and poor sleep is probably the biggest killer of humans. That’s overpopulation for you. If you get too many contacts with your kind, your brain says there’s too many of you here and tells you to find a more quite place. It’s good both for spreading genes (you may migrate and expand species areal), reducing competition, utilization of limited resources and so on.
Consciousness is our do anything cheat code that allowed us to defeat evolution. I doubt it is affected much if at all by evolutionary history. Socializing isn’t something that comes for free. Our brains have to do a lot of work in social settings. Lots of little subconscious calculations, Overtly conscious decisions, emotional management, and so on. All of this takes calories. Takes ATP synthesis. Our social nature is a series of reward mechanisms to help us overcome the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this utilitarian solipsistic conclusion that this is all not worth the effort. Because before humans ever sparked consciousness, mutual aid was as much of a factor in evolution as competition was. Unconscious mutual aid doesn’t cost much compared to conscious mutual aid – share your surplus with a neighbor and gain more than the energy spent on the surplus. Adding “don’t eat your neighbor when times get tough and resources scarce” requires a lot of effort, and sometimes being alone for a bit so we don’t have to spend that energy is useful.
Trying to find an evolutionary purpose for a random trait is generally a fools errand, especially for a trait this Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this relatively minor. It could be wanting alone time is a spandrel I.e. persists due to a genetic or phenotypic connection to a positively selected trait. And whatever evolutionary story we come up is going to be a just-so story, given we lack any fossil record of intermediate forms. Not how evolution works anyways. Sitting by yourself watching television isn’t deadly. And so there’s no evolutional pressure not do to it. Evolution doesn’t work by evolving things that are beneficial. It works by killing off things that detrimental.
Me. I make ambient videos. I started doing it because I enjoyed watched them and knew I could make them myself. I’m pretty positive if I tried to get monetized it would be considered reused or repetitive content. I’m seeing slow and steady growth though so that’s the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this excitement for me. Yes it would be considered reused and repetitive. Alot of ambient channels got demonetized a couple years back and then they just stop making videos. It’s so sad. Completely for fun. I truly couldn’t imagine my shorts only channel ever being monetized. But I feel like my exploration of what even makes a short viral/entertaining is valuable. It’s like an exploration of human attention and media. And it almost feels like a game I’m playing. It’s fun just to have an idea, bang out a little edit and then watch what happens in the YouTube studio app. It’s all just for fun. And I also truly believe it’s nice to contribute something. To try and not only consume, but to create a little. It’s really fun when you do stuff that hasn’t been done. You feel like you are filling an empty space on the internet. Sometimes this makes you famous like the YouTuber “I did a thing”.
im sooo happy the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this people that eventually make it big don’t listen to advice like this… i understood your perspective tho I do it because I love writing and visual storytelling and Youtube allows me to be creative with both while mixing the two. And it gives me an outlet for it that my job doesn’t. I mean, i do too but I’m lucky that I have a fulltime job that supports me so its not a burden for me if I dont make money from YouTube. I want to be the only one from my country doing true crime content, so far, am not bad at it.. and its going to be a full time job for me, with the right audience, i think ill go places. So am giving it my all. Thanx for sharing though.. appreciated I do, I’m very bad at it but I find it to be a fun hobby. Of course I hope to get big but I’m happy just making content even if nobody watches it, I can still watch it and remember the fun I had. I mean i want to grow, monetization would be nice… but my stuff is not that exciting, i do it for some fun, try to inform them. Growth and comments are nice but I’m doing it for me first and foremost. I’m disillusioned enough from youtube to not try to make money from it. Yea as someone with 50000 subs, I struggle to find the balance between making art and something I’m proud of versus targeting it to keep me financially afloat
I barely make enough on YouTube to fill my gas tank once a month. I feel like channels that are passion projects stand a better chance at being successful anyway, so I just have fun and I become successful that is a bonus. My niche isn’t even that popular anyway, so I don’t really expect to pop off or anything. I do youtube because i want to make a career out of it BUT because its a new channel that would take some time so i actually just do youtube right now as a hobby because i like recording videos and making content for fun i do. i get like max 50 views on my videos and i still keep going because i enjoy it. No other reason. I know i won’t get success and i don’t really want it. I’m a dude in the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this corner recording videos of a mod he loves and that’s it. A few months ago, I tried to be helpful on a YouTube related question on Reddit, and someone looked at my channel and made a snide remark.
The hustle culture sees everything as a way to generate revenue. Normally, they want the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this magic “passive income”, but with every social media account they seem to want to be “successful” and make lots of money. But why post it? Maybe I’m just lost in sauce of wanting to turn this into a career, but if you only make videos because it’s fun to make videos…..then why do you have an external audience? What does that bring to the table for you? What value is there? Why not use like Vimeo or another small video hosting service and just share links with friends? because although its for fun, you intrinsically want to share it with the world (duh ur posting it online) youtube is essentially a monopoly and who has a vimeo account? posting it isnt the fun part, the creation process is Unfortunately without trying to say”we live in a society” everything is based around money. Nothing has value to alot of people unless you are making money off it.
I believe most people make a hobby into YouTube, but I’d be surprised if alot have the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this full mindset “This is just a hobby”, if that were the case they would be doing a number of other things that aren’t youtube which are easier as a hobby. Things that are relaxing and not a work dump. I don’t believe anyone who has never been disappointed that a video they uploaded never got any traction. It’s a gold rush imo, everyone hopes they can make it but in reality few will due to either time constraints, work ethic or pure luck. I don’t know if YouTube is a good hobby it’s so much time and you’ll get so invested because of the idea of making money, it’s weird and deserves a long discussion. Hey hi hello. I feel this way but newtubers is definitely not the community for that mindset unfortunately. It’s a little disheartening but I’ve accepted it. I think majority of people do, but people here on this sub are looking to grow and often looking to monetise.
As for me I do this for fun, I need a creative outlet to keep me sane and videos are one of those outlets for me. I enjoy making the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this video and watching it back afterwards, creating a log of my life to look back on. But of course, I want others to see and enjoy my video too, so I want to grow and optimise my videos. If I can get monetised someday that would be great for me to put some of the money back into travelling (My niche is travel vlogs) I actually went to college for video production! I don’t have many passions in life, but something about making videos itches my brain. If I make it, great, if not, great. Im just happy to be making content. Now, do I try to adjust tags, thumbnails, for better retention rates or a higher ctr? Yes, 100%. But honestly, the whole process is just really fun for me.
Yes, I make videos for my friends and family. Like a memory keeper. I think my life is really boring in a grand scheme of things. But I move every 2-3 years and vlog about my life so it changes every so often. Haha my content was all about Korea life, then Germany life, and next we moving to another Asian country. So if you watch some of my videos you can see it is all over the Warning 35th Birthday Trip In Progress Funny 35 Years Old Shirt in contrast I will get this place content. Yep I’ve been wanting to start a channel since i was 11 (25 now) and I’m realising I’ll regret it if I never try. I never made a dollar off youtube and i have 3 channels, they suck but maybe when im dead my kid will watch them and remember me. A little of both! I use it to supplement my art, so can’t say it’s purely hobby, but I know it’ll never grow. I suppose it’d be nice to get a plaque level, but I’d kinda like to stay a nobody too!
