I could see it being over this chapter. My only real holdup is no explicit showing of Kaido’s awakening. Like, in a battle where Luffy awakens his devil fruit, I feel like his opponent should also have an awakened fruit. Especially when that opponent is one of the Vintage skull and wednesday addams shirt besides I will buy this Yonkou, and touted to be the strongest creature in the world. Plus it would make the last few chapters of the fight fucking ridiculous Here’s a theory…. before awakening his devil fruit luffy was presumably dead, then in the middle of the fight when his awakened form wore off it was implied he was dying again. What If after this fight luffy has to stay in gear 5 all the time just to avoid dying. That would be an interesting development because, i remember vaguely when luffy was in udon he yelled at queen saying he will decide when and where he dies or something like that. This could be how that happens, like after the final war he decides to drop gear 5.

It’s real but I’m conflicted because at this point if Kaidou did have an awakening I feel like Oda would have shown it already unless he awakens in the Vintage skull and wednesday addams shirt besides I will buy this flower capital ? but still at this point its dragging. And people are so DUMB…. so DUMB… that i saw theories saying that Luffy would Defeats kaido with a “KICK” LMAO. Luffy did not defeat Kaido with a Punch, it took 9 Scabbards; Supernovas; Yamato; ADvanced Haki, CoC Haki + an awakening. The most uninteresting way to finish a fight despite Gear 5 being Luffy’s most interesting gear. All that potential and we literally get a bigger gear 3rd, Naruto “bigger rasengan” vibes lmao Kaido is not defeated yet. I’m waiting for the Gorosei to reveal next chapter the real name of his fruit. We’ll see from there where it goes. I would be disappointed if this is really the end, it just seems anticlimactic to just put him down the same way he did to Doffy especially after what he did the entire raid. Although I understand that some ppl want this arc to end, but rushing Kaido’s defeat will not make the story any better.
