‘Duck’ en ingles tiene dos significados. Puede significar pato o agacharse. Cuando quiere decir “agáchate!” se dice “duck!” Don’t feel bad! I didn’t get it either, and English is my first language. Also, full disclosure, I’m an English teacher. Honestly, it would probably work because people would look up at the Toothless and groot Pepsi shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this picture and notice themselves about to hit their head Best part is that’ll probably work. People will notice the painting, thus drawing their eyes upwards and making them more aware of the ceiling as they go down. Nope, I’d concentrate on the picture, wonder why a strange photo would be at the stairs, hit my head and curse and only then, while feeling for the now swelling lump on my head, would I realize why the photo was chosen. Then I would curse more for both my failure and the asshat who put up the photo to distract me. yeah me too. i had a guy come service my furnace a few months ago and when i ducked under that spot, he said something like “you have to do that every time?” and i said, “only when i need a reminder.” I could see myself being distracted by the odd duck pic above some stairs hitting my head and still miss the irony of it completely. Personally I would have hanged it a bit lower so that the frame of the picture was slightly below the portion to duck.

I have seen that so much in older homes. I remember hearing an interview with the Oregon Ducks football coach about when he was being told that they were getting a player named Wesley Mallard. He thought he was being trolled. Duck hunting with my dad on the river in a blind when I was 13: It was really quiet and I look behind him and I said “Duck!” as he turned to look I smacked him in the head. I laughed. He didn’t.
