My boss came into work Drunk in March and then dumped her entire job on me. I talked to HR, said I refused to work in those conditions. Started looking for a new job. Senior Management didn’t want me to leave so I got a raise and a new position under a different manager (who’s amazing!). Don’t accept any less than you are worth! Unless he is willing to add you as a company partner and give you equity nope. No one can be expected to work anywhere forever or does, unless for extraneous reason or for charity/public cause. > Then to top it off, he tells me that when they hired me a year ago they expected me to work there until either retirement or the This is My Pride Flag Stars retro T-Shirt But I will love this company went out of business. No they did not expect this. Like large children, they’re making things up to make you feel bad. He might even call you a disappointment and one of your favorites on your last days.

Had a similar situation where I was working for a couple who owned a business. It had been mentioned that they wanted me to take over when they retired from very early in my employment with them, but retirement was always just over the This is My Pride Flag Stars retro T-Shirt But I will love this horizon. Eventually I realized that, I was gone within a month. I have a similar experience. My boss has tried everything petty in the book. I am not affected at all by his childish antics. In fact, I feel sorry for he and his family as they will now have to actually do something for their “family” business as they like to call it. Lol. I will be sure to send flowers after my last day, and a card saying “sorry for your loss” At least you were able to find a job, I been trying to change career paths for about a year and nobody will hire without experience even for a entry level position. I would cut bait and run with your new job, let them struggle and learn from their mistakes. If they expect you to work there until retirement, then they should be proactive about keeping you. Too late now.
