Every time we have a downturn in the economy it happens. It’s a normal part of the business cycle but it hasn’t happened since 2008. Yes, they are making record revenues. Record revenues is a bit of a catch phrase though. If it’s a good company, like google or netflix, they will keep making record revenues every year because they are ‘growing’ and getting bigger. Money also inflates by ~2% per year historically so revenues always grow from that too. Really though, it’s a nothing comment to say a company is making record revenue unless they are a startup. Apple has had record revenues every quarter since basically the iPhone was released.
