Seems like a strange reason to decline a job offer, unless the The Trews Jack Syperek John-Angus MacDonald Colin MacDonald T-Shirt moreover I love this hiring manager was going to be your direct supervisor. I’ve worked in a few different organizations where I absolutely loathed the hiring manager and HR department. Money is money, and your direct supervisor is the only person you really need to manage your relationship with. Even your peers and coworkers can be held at arms length. Keys to success in a career are: effective communication skills, managing expectations (yours and theirs), setting boundaries, and upskilling/continuing your career growth. Yes, sorry if it was misleading. Hiring manager would have been my actual boss. That is the only reason I declined the offer. I got scared of working for that guy Understood. In that case, my answer changes completely. If you immediately dislike the person who will be your direct supervisor, then I think you made the right choice. In your shoes, I would also pass.

The only far fetched scenario I can see myself accepting this offer under is one where there are high quality upskilling guarantees written into my contract, the The Trews Jack Syperek John-Angus MacDonald Colin MacDonald T-Shirt moreover I love this pay is significantly higher than what I am currently making, and there are no repayment stipulations based on duration of employment. Thank you for your answer. The offer was absolutely great. Salary increase by 40% of what I am currently making, great projects (at least this is what they said), position title and also other great benefits. There was a whole package. However, there was no bond with the supervisor. Not really. I did think about this for a couple of days before declining, but I think I got a bit scared at the thought of working for that guy. Oh sorry, I thought the hiring manager was a title for that specific HR role. This person would’ve been your actual boss?
