All about this. Would love to see the The old me cared the new me dgaf T-Shirt and I love this backstory on the big screen of the old pustol in predator 2 if this is successful. Could easily adapt the comic book that was based on the pistol or do something entirely new! Strange – the original ‘Prey’ game on PC featured aliens and a Native American protagonist too. Despite the Predator aliens this film probably has more in common with the original Prey game than the later Arkane one that had little in common with it except the title. Good to see such an original concept. I miss the movies of 80s where things could be crazy weird and they’d shoot the movie.Today everything is based on financial gain and not so much just making a fun movie. So this just confirms my suspicion that Predator is actually a misunderstood Earthling. having never left planet he seeks revenge on those who bullied him in grade school.

Maybe a set up to a whole “Preditor” universe as it goes throught time and catches up to us. Although i do also like the concept takeing some of these other apocalypse themes and setting it in other points through time. I wish they would expand on the AVP concept of the first pyramid civilization in Antarctica and the human culture that worshipped the Predators This has so much potential but will probably end up terrible. I hope for the best because when I saw all the antiques at the end of predator 2 my first thought was a period piece predator picture. Good. I’ve wanted to see Predator movies in different time periods ever since I saw that fan made video of a predator hunting Christian and Muslim soldiers during the Crusades. Predator with stealth, laser sight, energy cannon, throwing stars and a nuke loses to man with bow and arrow: the movie I adore the original Predator. And have quite a bit of time for Predator 2 as well. But as a franchise I just don’t think it has the legs for multiple sequels. It’s basically rinse repeat. Same formula over and over. Setting it hundreds of years ago doesn’t really change anything fundamental. Just a gimmick – bows and arrows instead of machine guns. I dunno. Unless you’re going to do a full blown AVP sci-fi epic set in outer space – along the lines of the comics. Just having a Predator go up another group of humans… again, doesn’t really excite me.
