There isn’t a specific white American culture. Whites in America are not a homogeneous group from which a common culture related to skin color has developed. This is different from black Americans, and even Latino Americans who, unlike white Americans, share a common identity and history distinguished by their race. They don’t. Rock ‘n’ Roll ultimately comes from Black Americans, a lot of folklore comes from the Native American and European mythologies.

To do otherwise was to struggle more than they already were.
For my pre revolutionary war ancestors, well I guess their culture is more subtle. Because they’re most typically the ones that ignore their OWN culture/lineage/heritage/ancestry for the resounding label of ‘white.’ They hardly thread through themselves culturally so why would anyone else? I just had this conversation the other night that there’s SO much culture lol but it’s just kinda not cared about in the same way as other prominent cultures care about theirs. lame if you ask me!
