Usually it’s at every hour, and in my office we handle 3 shifts – but I have seen cases where someone’s been told consecutively by 5 agents that their shift is ending. The CSR I had INSISTED that she couldn’t transfer me while I was on call with her, said I HAD to put the phone down for her to connect me to the supervisor. It’s true, we can’t transfer you to our supervisors directly. All we can do is transfer your call to a different department which wouldn’t make any sense in most cases and apply a command to formally request a supervisor call.

The way it works in my call center is that supervisor call requests are created and they reach out to you directly within 72 hours. I’ve never had to do it with AirB&B but I used to have to make these types of calls for my job quite frequently and it worked every time. Granted, I only did it a few times when I was told multiple times that I was going to be called back by a supervisor and never was. (I also do have the luxury of making my own schedule so I was actually able to hold to what I said if my bluff was called.) Same. I don’t understand why some people don’t just straight up create the sup call requests on strike three of offering possible alternatives which the user refuses. I’d be more than happy to get you out of my hair for a while and to continue assisting you once you’ve finished discussing the situation with my supervisor. That is something only customer support agents can do – we have a set of commands that we can use on a ticket, and one of them is to create a sup call request linked to each individual partner call centre.
