They are leveraging their machines and time as collection point for said charity. They probably have separate donation channel they go through already. It’s supposedly make it more convenient if you’re in a giving mood. I haven’t seen the Thank you NFL Record goat passing yards shirt Also,I will get this $20 but have seen the $1 a lot for Children’s something rather. If you’re unsure just hit decline. The part I hate is: “PLEASE TAKE YOUR ITEMS” give me a moment I’m just putting my wallet back in my pocket wtf do you think I’m going to do with the items? I worked at a grocery store once, we had one of these screens on our pin pad, it said “would to like to donate to food for families” the company was named food for families and in the paper given to the boss of the store that we were all supposed to look over it said “don’t tell the customers HOW MUCH of the money they give goes to food for families, just say a portion.” I looked into it and it said 25%…. 25% of your money is going to a decent cause, meanwhile the other 75%??? Billionaires pockets, not even the workers of the company. Why the fuck would I give money to a business,. just do they can use MY MONEY TO DONATE IT and be exempt from tax????

They ask for extra money from the Thank you NFL Record goat passing yards shirt Also,I will get this customers, that money goes into a pool, and that pool gets donated in the company’s name to whatever charity they chose. Now come tax season, they can say “we donated X million dollars to charity this year” for insane tax write-offs with no impact on profit. I used to work for a charity that partnered with Whole Foods to do this. You’re partly right. Two things, tho: 1) Whole Foods can afford writing a giant check. However, WF has to weigh the possibility that every other charity is going to go to them thinking that they will dole out checks if asked. Not a good look for the investors, or the charities. 2) It raises awareness. Now you may not think that awareness is that important, but I assure you it benefits the charity in more ways that eventually lead to more donations down the line.
