The hem is slightly uneven (doesn’t look on purpose) and the fabric is not very formal. I’d thrift a sheath dress in grey, lilac or beige. The hem is a bit uneven, I’m sure that ironing will fix it. What you need to consider is how to turn it into a complete look by adding good accessories like the right belt, added layers, jewelry and shoes.
