To provoke the asking of this Skull On a dark desert highway Harley Davidson cool wind in my hair shirt, seemingly. Is there anybody out there willing to admit to getting any practical usage out of these at all? Not to mention the used market for Harley’s. If you look on Craigslist there’s usually a bunch of used ones for sale from older people who don’t ride, or younger people who didn’t ride as much as they thought they would. Why buy a new one from HD when there’s 15 on Craigslist with like 8,000 miles for thousands of dollars less?

Skull On a dark desert highway Harley Davidson cool wind in my hair shirt, ladies tee, tank top, and v-neck

People can’t afford the new ones, there’s lots of used Skull On a dark desert highway Harley Davidson cool wind in my hair shirt, go figure, new sales suffer. I don’t think it’s so much that younger people don’t like them, I’ve met plenty of 20 somethings who ride, they just ride bikes that are like 8 years old. Fantastic looking bikes, but complete washouts in performace. Using a sportster engine on a naked bike frame turned out to have nothing on the things coming out of Japan/Italy. They tried to sell the newer style bikes and their customers complained constantly about it and they didn’t do a great sale. They tried to fix it years ago. It’s just that their model is incredibly specific. You don’t go to HD for a sport bike, you go for a Hog. Fantastic looking bikes, but complete washouts in performace. Using a sportster engine on a naked bike frame turned out to have nothing on the things coming out of Japan/Italy.

They carry a premium price while simply not being very good Skull On a dark desert highway Harley Davidson cool wind in my hair shirt. Boomers with all the money just bought the name, but younger people both don’t have the disposable income and tend to research products before major purchases. They should have made it a place so a 45 year old Dentist can buy a loud cruiser for his mid-life crisis and lifestyle change and a 25 year old urban dweller who doesn’t attach his persona to what he drives can buy a smaller scooter to get around the city. Of course, but a scooter also tends to be a rational, practical choice. A Harley isn’t mechanically the “best” in any motorcycle niche. All they have is persona/tradition. Fair points. In my area scoots go for 3-7k where an older 250 goes for 1.5-2k so it always baffled me why people would get them. But to each there own, just dont expect a wave lol
