I personally think it’s immoral to ask someone to take on more responsibility for no extra pay. Employers already hold enough power over us as it is already. It’s fucked up that they know they can get away with treating employees with such disrespect.

This is quiet hiring and exploitation. My advice is don’t take it. The extra responsibility with no extra pay is bullshit. I took on more responsibilities and new teams without any increase in pay. The new role gave me an opportunity to open new positions and promote people who were long overdue for new titles and more money- I was laid off several month later. That opportunity added layers of experience to my resume which has opened new employment opportunities but more importantly, I was able to help those on my team. I’m happy with the outcome. Responsibility comes with money! You pay me or I do not do the job! Never show you are a pushover. This after other interviews!
