No one is forcing you to do anything. Meditation is simply going inward to tap into your subconscious, your inner sensory experiences (what you see, hear, feel, taste, smell internally), and learning to concentrate on one thought/mental image. Therefore, you don’t have to sit a certain way or whatever. Just relax and notice what’s going on inside. Notice your reactions and impulses while you’re doing it. This process is also about understanding your temperament so it no longer has control over you. e.g. “I will not be forced to sit straight, etc etc” that emotion is controlling you and you’re avoiding something that’s not even harmful at all, so it’s not going to hurt you to do it, it just feels uncomfortable because you’re creating the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but discomfort. Does your mind also react so passionately to stop you from engaging in your vices? Not judging or anything, just demonstrating how one must be towards their own thoughts and emotions 😉 I give you permission to not do it. Do something else that brings you joy. Life is short. Do what you want and help others.

Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt, hoodie, long sleeve, v-neck tee

But life is full of things you must do that you don’t want to do. If you don’t do them, you will suffer, and the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but suffering will get exponentially worse as life goes on. You gotta find a way to just accept that you must do what you must do, such is life. It sounds like you’ve had experiences in your past where you were forced to do things you didn’t enjoy, and now you have a strong aversion to feeling pressured or forced into activities, including meditation. It’s completely understandable to have these feelings, especially if they stem from past negative experiences. However, it’s important to recognize that meditation doesn’t have to be a rigid or forced practice. There are many different types of meditation, and finding one that feels more natural and comfortable for you could be beneficial. Here are some suggestions: Guided Meditation: Guided meditation involves listening to a recording or a live guide who leads you through a meditation session. This can be helpful for beginners or for those who prefer a more structured approach to meditation. You can find guided meditations online or through meditation apps that cover a wide range of topics and styles.
Mindfulness Meditation: Mindfulness meditation focuses on being present in the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but moment and observing your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. You don’t necessarily have to sit in a specific posture for mindfulness meditation; you can practice it while lying down, walking, or engaging in other activities. Movement-Based Meditation: Some forms of meditation incorporate gentle movement or exercise, such as yoga, tai chi, or qigong. These practices can help you cultivate mindfulness and relaxation while also providing physical benefits. Visualization: Visualization meditation involves imagining peaceful scenes or positive outcomes to promote relaxation and reduce stress. You can do this while lying down or sitting comfortably, allowing your mind to wander and explore different images or scenarios. Breathing Exercises: If focusing on your breath feels too restrictive, you can try alternative breathing exercises that involve different patterns or techniques, such as deep belly breathing or alternate nostril breathing.

Some information about Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt

It’s important to remember that meditation is a personal practice, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. The key is to find what works best for you and feels most comfortable and accessible. Whether you choose to meditate while lying down, sitting, walking, or engaging in another activity, the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but goal is to cultivate a sense of mindfulness, relaxation, and self-awareness. If you’re open to it, experimenting with different styles and techniques may help you find a form of meditation that resonates with you and aligns with your preferences and needs. Why even bother copying and pasting answers from ChatGPT? He could have gone to ChatGPT himself if he wanted an AI answer. He didn’t. certain postures or practices might remove hinderances and make meditating easier but are not “meditation” itself The last part is the true way to meditate. People wanna see it as something serious so they make it into a formal practice, but in truth it’s just about letting go and zenning out.
I recommend meditation to keep you in the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but present state. One becomes anxious when one gets ahead of thy self. Stay grounded in the present. Don’t dwell in the past this is behind you. Must focus on the present this is why one meditates! What kind of practice were you forced to do? There are many kinds of meditation. I recommend TM or NSR. Both are short, simple courses that anyone can follow for effortless practice that brings peace, happiness, and other good stuff. I fully comprehend and don’t have many ideas. Possibly reward yourself with something that everybody else would disapprove of but you like. Work off the defiance that way. “Need help”? Run with that. Future You could use your help. Some version of Future You is swamped, overtired, a hair away from raging or collapsing in despair. You can gift Future You slack by sitting and clearing out the mental inbox now. Think of your labor as a gift to someone you actually care about.
One of my friend is a teacher. She told me about this story of this dad who read everything about “positive education”. He learned to talk with his kid (he’s about 7 y/o) when he’s angry or sad and always avoid forcing him to do things he doesn’t like. One day in a karate class, all the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but kids were told to regroup and listen to the teacher. Eventually everyone settled down except his kid who kept doing his own thing while everyone was waiting for him. The dad felt a lot of shame. Turning 30 y/o myself next month. I always resisted authority but I’ve eventually learned that not everything has to feel good. The rise of internet and with it the rise of quick and cheap entertainment created this belief that unless you like doing it, then there’s no point in doing it.
My advice for you is to work on discovering what you want. When you can pinpoint exactly what you want in life, you will slowly learn that doing things even when you don’t feel like it will ultimately get you closer to your goals. The human mind needs reasons and beliefs to sacrifice things. Like try relaxing, on your bed, as you say, listening to relaxing music, if that helps. If it is slow, repetitive and droning, without any sudden changes or sounds, then that can help to put you in a meditative mindset. If you do something, try doing it in a slightly more relaxing and focused way. Like if you are multitasking at any point and you realize you don’t have to in that moment, then reduce the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but multitasking and enjoy the experience of the moment, where possible. Your attention does not have to be all or nothing on the breathing, or bodily sensations of the task at hand, you can just put a little amount of it there to begin with, and see how that goes. Doing so with a little amount of acceptance and consistency. Then it can be allowed to gather gradually. Doing this without ignoring anything else, I should add, just allowing other things to come and go if you do not need to focus on them at the time.
I Don’t Want to I Don’t Feel Like It: How Resistance Controls Your Life and What to Do About It by Cheri Huber is the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but single best meditation book I’ve ever read and describes your predicament perfectly. Sounds like Pathological Demand Avoidance. You really don’t have to focus on your breath, sit up straight, or empty your mind. It doesn’t have to be taken literally. To answer your last question, no that is not meditation. What you actually need is a form of active meditation, which is much easier. Personally I am a musician with a whole range of instruments. If I pick up my guitar for example, I can play the same 4 strings over and over. This is called mantra. The act of playing keeps you occupied and the repetitive sound helps you eventually get lost in it to a state of no mind, aka meditation. Try it. If you don’t have an instrument, you could try yoga as a form of meditation, but it’s more work and not as fun, for me at least. Find a form of meditation that works for you and is enjoyable. Sitting down with your eyes closed is not the only way to meditate.
I’m fairly new, less than a month of doing it consistently (sometimes life happens), but it’s pretty personal. There aren’t really any wrong answers. Meditation isn’t necessarily a specific practice, but usually what people talk about are different sets of steps to get you into one state of mind or various states. All roads (as in all forms of meditation) lead to Rome, so to speak. Once you know how to do it, how it’s done, I can imagine you inventing your own ways to get into that state or a state you desire for whatever purposes you wish. So really, there’s no pressure. Does this Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but appeal to you? Do it! You’ll enjoy it. If you don’t, don’t. I wouldn’t say meditation in general isn’t chill, btw. I mean, I’m sure someone out there has some crazy meditation technique because it can be so varied, but it’s not all wild, and some people focus on a religious or superstitious aspect of it, I don’t discount these people or their experiences, but I do ignore them generally. It really is a personal thing. I would encourage you to do it. But no pressure, do what you want. But if it’s interesting enough for you to make a reddit post about it asking for it, figure it out, dude.
There are lots of different ways to meditate. You can even find guided walking meditation on YouTube to try. But first of all, what is it about meditation that makes you feel pressurised into doing it? Mindfulness is about doing what feels right for you and meditation isn’t for everyone. So if you’ve tried it and it’s just stressing you out you could look into doing other things. I love mindfulness colouring books! I too have an unhealthy relationship with discipline. It will take a while to learn the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but difference between being pressured to do something, and now doing it as an adult because it is good for you and / or you enjoy it. Yes there’s as many types of meditation as there are trees in the forest. Try something that appeals to you. Go for a run and be mindful of your body. Lay on the floor and let go of everything including your ideas of meditation. Explore some different approaches other than strictly sitting and focusing. Who is this “you” that won’t be forced to do anything? Where exactly can you locate this “you”? In your head? Somewhere behind your eyes? Where exactly? It’s all just thoughts, the idea of being you is exactly that, an idea, a thought… be still, be silent, no thought.. and there “YOU” are…
No, but I promise once it ‘clicks’ for you it’s very enjoyable. The enjoyment becomes the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but reason to do it. It stops being something you know you should do but don’t want to, and becomes something you want to do. Laying on the bed and relaxing will put you to sleep as your body will feel very comfortable. Laying on the floor or in another position so that you are not too comfortable will help the relaxation come from your mind. In this approach it is relaxing rather than trying (or forcing!) that is so important in allowing the mind to slow and rest in stillness. Refer a couple of the books of the late Dr Ainslie Meares for the details, if of interest. Meditation is just clearing your thoughts I do it at the gym or laying in the sun at the pool or beach don’t dread it very good for stress and cleaning out the bad so there is room for the good .. For me the lowest form of meditation is a long bat with music I like and a bath bomb I picked. When my mind is racing I use pranayama breathing or an app or yoga. Other types of meditation would be forest bathing, brewing tea, burning a candle or incense and sitting with it.
Think of it less as forcing yourself and more as gifting yourself some time/self care. Also it can take a while so in the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but beginning be kind to yourself. Do you enjoy watching movies or other shows? Meditating is the same thing but within ourselves and more entertaining. No stress. Lay down. Listen to a fan to keep your focus. Simple and chill. I do it every morning for 20 minutes before I get out of bed. I am similar to you and will balk if pushed to do anything… so i dont push. Also don’t force yourself. Meditate as long as you want when you want. Set up minimum discipline. For ex. Make a commitment to meditate daily but don’t set very strong rules. Take it easy. Approach meditation as something that you get pleasure from (by setting lenient structure and picking a technique that you find enjoyable) and overtime you will stop resisting it. Everything has requirements in order to be effective, it how the world works.if you want the thing you have to do the thing. If you don’t want to meditate, don’t. There’s a lot of people who don’t understand this and how trauma affects the brain. OP, i am one of them who understands. As a kid my mom put me in a household with a verbally abusive stepdad, and i was always forced to do things i didn’t want to do. chores, hiking, mundane tasks etc. i hated it because he was there and always monitoring me and controlling me. Fast forward 10 years now i am what society considers an “adult”, i absolutely HATE hiking. I hate when people watch me; i hate when people ask me to do things for them, and i despise doing household chores (obviously i still do them but there’s a huge resistance.) You have been quite literally traumatized but some advice that works for me is just reminding myself that he’s not there anymore, that i am free, and have free will. You can do whatever you want to do now, and that my friend is beautiful.
Well, coming from someone who used to have a hard time with meditation, I can level with you on this. I can never force myself to do anything I don’t want to do. I am a generator in human design and only do things that will light me up. I usually just use music that calls me and that usually helps me get in the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but right headspace. Then gradually I found some meditation on YouTube that has the solfeggio frequencies so I can tap into what I feel I needs for example, chakra balancing, connecting to source, manifesting abundance, etc. it’s all about the frequency and vibration that feels right for you! I pray you find the right avenue. Here’s what I listened to today! Best of luck other forms of meditation include journaling or taking a walk in nature. As long as you are connecting to yourself then that’s what matters most and when you ask the universe for an answer, you just might get it! You will find the best thing that suits your needs. Release the need for an outcome, you never know what the universe will bring back to you!
Do yoga or something instead. It’s almost like a meditation for the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but body. Your mind is inside your body. Therefore, whatever you do to your body, you do to your mind. I recommend taking a class. I took one with Nariman Hamo. She changed my life. She teaches how to make meditation effortless. You can meditate in your favourite position, and your mantra can be any positive word you like!!! Give that a go, it may be simple enough that it doesn’t turn you off meditation, Good luck, Enjoy. You need to include Resistance in your practice…. A practical way is to do meditations that focus on gradual relaxation. Hey I hear you I was the same. But it’s time to wake up and realize you are the one in control of your life. If you don’t study and get a job you like it’s only you that suffers. You don’t meditate to clear your mind it’s only you buddy. You just have to know apart from your mother your own your own and it’s what you do or don’t do is what makes your life great or shit. Try some sound healing mediations or shamanic drumming and just focus on the beat 🙂 you can even dance with your eyes closed or stretch or do anything really. don’t worry about doing it right or how the “experts” say to do it. Find whatever helps ascend to that peaceful and restorative consciousness. Allow the space to be yours, unique to what feels good to you, and meditation can become one of the best parts of human life
A wise one says you should never meditate until you absolutely crave it. Until then you should be a hedonist with life. Glorify your existence with all the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but Youtube, screen time, television, boring nothing lazy moments…May our cup over fill-eth until you get so sick and tired of it all that you eventually long for something else, for introspection, for meditation. That is the only way my friend. So rebel, you rebellious spirit. And carry on. I used to not be into meditating either and found it difficult to sit still. After learning from my yoga teachers in my own yoga teacher journey I made a change. The mind cannot sit still in meditation if the body has not been moved or rested so since I started doing my yoga practice first and then sitting in meditation it’s made a difference. Even sitting still for 1-5 minutes can make a difference. Never force it, but allow yourself stillness time to time and see what happens!
When I stopped trying to meditate like others told me to, and did it the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but way that made sense to me, I had a vision. So idk, probably do it any way that feels right. In the end it is better to do a good thing badly than not do anything at all If you hate meditating and still do it, you will see even more benefits for your psyche than a person who meditates and loves it. Speaking from experience. Sounds like your ego is too strong for Yoga. Do something else if you don’t want to do Yoga. No one’s going to pressure you, but you You don’t have to meditate sitting up. You can lay down on your bed. There are tons of meditation things you YouTube. You will need to find the right one that fits your personality. You may want a female meditation or you may want a male. Then when you figure what you are looking for use that. If you want to meditate if you don’t then don’t. Do what fits you at the moment.
I completely feel u. I struggle with this myself when my brain is scattered af. One thing that helps me is not to label it as “meditation”. Cos the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but label makes it feel like I HAVE to acheive something within the session, and I think thats where the pressure comes from. Instead I simply just… enjoy the night (I practice at night). Even if my brain is scattered, im simply away from my phone, just taking in the silence of the night. Thats it. If my brain is scattered, so be it. If I can only sit for 5mins, 3mins, 2mins… so be it. At least I showed up. Its not how long you meditated for or what you acheived in that session. Its showing up that counts. Even for 30s. Because you are training your brain to understand that this is something important to you that you want to work on. Thats it.
It makes me so salty my cousins just married old ass fat men and now never have to work a single day in their lives they just fuckin do whatever living off their husbands who are older than their own father The job is sexual relations with someone you wouldn’t otherwise have one with. Not everyone can mentally or physically do that – no offence. Eeeh, the Santa Claus I’m The Season Child I’m The Reason Shirt it is in the first place but dynamics I’ve seen of the couple of trophy wife relationships I’ve witnessed. I don’t think the same rules apply when money is involved. Lol imagine thinking prenups happen 100% of the time. Some old men are dumb as fuck and dont do a prenup. Plus the woman may well say prenup = no pussy. You seem to greatly underestimate peoples abikity to manipulate and gaslight. Give your heads a wobble.
