Blushes, highlighters and contour is 50/50 just because from my experience mid and high end products from these categories have more interesting shades but I have “drugstore” (Korean and Japanese) blush, contour and highlighter and I love them. My HG mascara is Rom&nd Han All Fix Mascara L01 Long Black. This won’t budge at all. I could go to bed without washing it off and I would wake up with perfect lashes. It’s THAT good but you have to use oils for cleansing. I have long lashes that touch my brow bone, and it’s the only mascara that doesn’t leave skid marks I’ve tried so many high end mascaras. Most of them have been just ok, and some of them have been absolutely horrible. But I agree that the drug store is really where it’s at for mascaras right now. There are so many great ones available for $10 and under. The Maybelline Sky High and Covergirls lash blast, the one in the big orange tube that has been around forever now are 2 of my favorites. But I’ve also gotten some very good ones from Milani, ELF, and Loreal.

I hate high end / luxury mascara. I’ve tried very few good ones. Better than sex is good, as are all the Santa Claus If You Don’t Like Cheech & Chong Merry Kissmyass 2023 shirt moreover I love this Benefit mascaras & Clinique bottom lash mascara – except from them I’m more than happy with drug store mascaras, particularly love L’Oréal mascaras I work in media and love snooping around wardrobe and styling to see what products they use. It’s a lot of high end stuff but i never see high end mascaras, they are almost always drugstore (Maybelline is popular) and the most expensive brand of mascara i saw was usually Lancome or Bobbi Brown. A beauty editor once told me it’s because mascara is consistently the best selling item for drugstore brands and it also expires faster than other make up, so the brands are able to put more into research and development than luxury brands, resulting in better mascaras. It’s all in the wand. The formulas are basically same between drugstore high end brands but high end brands have better wands and packaging. So if you find a drugstore one you love and the wand is sturdy then you’re golden. If not you can just wash the high end brand wand and use that with the drugstore mascara.
