Do you now take a different approach to travelling than you did back then?
Not everyone suddenly just gets a better paying job/career in their thirties though, people fall on this too much. The primary thing that shifted for me is airplane travel. Meaning I try to not book a red eye unless I absolutely have no other options and I’m also willing to spend a little more money for flights with less stops or super long layovers where I’m stuck in an airport. I went travelling at 25-27 and again at 31. I did notice, my tolerance for hostels had diminished considerably. However was still trying to save money on flights and booked not so comfortable options while traveling without kids. So this didn’t change much. I’ve traveled quite a bit, still use hostels, people don’t think I’m as old as I am (34) but I definitely don’t try to keep up with drinking.
