Great. If they’re just transparent and honest with whoever ordered the food I guarantee we wouldn’t mind nearly as much and still tip. At least I would/do when situations like this happen. I dash and I’ve had times where my cell service is crap and a road was closed and the “detour” couldn’t bring me to the location, had to drive around for like 20 extra minutes before I figured out how to get to their house. Sometimes sh*t happens. I never ask for extra but personally. I would appreciate it if you did. Um, no? if it is a mistake you don’t owe them extra for their own mistake…. but more likely they’re picking up an extra order and doing multiple jobs at once. Extra large tips are for good service, not incompetence or someone potentially giving you cold food so they can double up.

If you have street turns that one way you for several miles if you make a wrong turn then that may mitigate things
