There can be a lot of rewards. Better emotional regulation and awareness, self-knowledge, compassion, insight etc. And curiosity is a driver for me too. But ultimately I think you do actually have to do it simply for the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt But I will love this sake of doing it. If you have any goal/s strongly in mind, to the point that it’s really driving you to practice formally, you can expect to be quite reliably frustrated in achieving those goal/s, and for your practice to suffer. One of those fun meditation paradoxes we enjoy so much, in this context wanting things isn’t a very good way to get them. Ultimately it’s just a… good (“enjoyable” isn’t the right word, though often it does apply) practice to pursue IME. I don’t imagine any monastics are posting here though – very, very few of us are going to be in formal practice “most hours of the day” except when on retreat. We’re householders, so we generally need to make money if we wanna eat and live indoors and stuff. I think even 2hrs a day of formal practice would be considered a lot.
Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
I’m middle age (gulp, lol!) and have had bouts of anxiety on and off my whole life. Problem is I didn’t realize it was anxiety. I just thought it was grief or sadness related to a dysfunctional relationship. As a culture, my generation didn’t talk about mental health growing up. On top of that, I coped with bad feelings by pushing them down. I sometimes didn’t even realize I was sad or pissed about an occurrence until 2 days later. Then lately in my life it dawned on me: oh that’s anxiety. And Oh! I do negative self talk. And Oh! I push shit way down as a coping mechanism. I’m doing some therapy now (and have in the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this past but meditation never came up) and was encouraged to meditate. So here I am. I’m doing guided cause I do better with structure. And I’m doing lots of positive affirmations as well as other calming and mindfulness meditation. It’s helping me already just after a couple of weeks. I recognize negative intrusive thoughts almost immediately. I recognize negative, sad feelings or anxious feelings sooner rather than two days later. I can process them better. It’s a relief.
Improved well-being. This made me start taking meditation more seriously. Then I learned about Theravada Buddhism and liked the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this teachings of Ajahn Thanissaro. This also made meditation more important to me. But meditation itself is not everything. Meditation is simply support in life. The ability to learn about the mind and its reactions to different things and the ability to direct it in different directions. Attachment to meditation is only good if there is enough of it to develop these skills. If we start to want to cut ourselves off from life, we simply become “stuck in concentration”. I take transcending seriously for the simple reason that all those of my 3300 students who contacted me after learning, reported increased peace and happiness and decreased problems and mental illness. When I imagine this teaching scaled up to the entire world (whether this is possible or not), I am in awe. I don’t want to feel lost. I feel the urge to give in to internal self awareness and maintenance. It’s shown me that I want to clean myself up, my values shift and as a result I feel like I’m moving towards self-actualization or something to that extent. I’ve been meditating 18 years now and tried a few different approaches. In the past 8 years I feel like I stripped away a lot of self imposed burdens and the result complicated my life further.

How to buy this Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt
I also realized I was chasing the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this ideal of increasingly pure states to the extent I found the world unlivable and also being almost 40 I was dealing with finding needed hobbies and enthusiasm. My task now is adjust my attitude about the ugly things I can’t change. I shifted my meditation practice to something else and I’m prioritizing the simple easy happiness. After all I mostly do what i do because I think it will make me feel better. It got to the point where I see people who thrive in simple contentment to be much wiser than me or having a perspective I lack and could use. I have been meditating with not much conviction for the past two years, but since I got laid off in January I have started to take it more seriously. Being consistent with it (5 days/week) has shown significant results, and I have truly realized how powerful this practice is. I think about all of the people out there struggling with mental health conditions, and how meditation, not medication, can seriously impact millions of lives. The question becomes- how do you get people engaged with the practice, understanding it can take years to fully harness the power it can bring. Medication is just a quick and easy fix to a deeper problem within.
What do you currently do to fully harness the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this power meditation can bring? What are your most recent new experiences and realizations? I do guided meditations to start (calm app) then go an extra 10 minutes just myself using different breathing methods. I think the biggest thing for me has just been taking the concepts to everyday life. Non-reactivity, patience, self love, etc. For example, when I’m driving home and someone cuts me off I manage it much better and let it go, or if something is bothering me I can recognize it and move on. It’s like I now I have a 3rd person that looks over the self. In addition to the euphoria, I also have been having visual experiences when I meditate particularly my pineal gland/3rd eye. It’s gotten so much more defined, where it used to just be a white circIe, I now visualize something I’d describe as a 3-D wormhole with reds, whites, purples, pinks, etc. It’s been very interesting. I’m actually going to Colorado this week and will indulge in psychedelics. I’m interested to see what comes when I mix the two.
Remove the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this psychedelics. You want to observe what is there not trigger the mind to spew random stuff at you. I would rather go for the raw experience without spicing it up. But as long as you have good results, there is nothing wrong with it. I just had cases where people always remained distracted pondering what they saw. It can make the path longer really longer if you can not forget an episode of mind products. I find that breath based meditation coupled with focused energy flows brings the most dramatic and fast results. Low blood pressure, clarity of thought, energy, growing control over autonomic nervous system, etc. I started a week ago to meditate because I have moved out two months ago to a new apartment with extremely lousy neighbours which made me anxious, since I was already homesick, but I got obsessed with the sounds. I have not seen great results by now since It takes a lot of time, but after every session I feel more at peace than before, so I have hopes It will get a hand on these sound triggers. I grew up in a disfunctional family. When I realized how much it impacted me and realized that the advise I was getting from trauma specialists was not having any impact, I began doubling down on my meditation practice.
My instincts were that meditation would take time but ultimately help me settle and resolve the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this multitude of issues. It has done just that. When you simply are something, you have no reason for being it other than the thing itself. Do you human for any other reason than to human? You can do meditation or become meditation. When you become meditation everything you do has the same effect as doing a meditation. It is the outcome and traditionally the single goal of engaging in meditation. I’ve had an interesting history with meditation. Early in my life, I saw it as a tool for improving mental health and productivity. At a hackathon, I even built a very simple EEG desktop app to help me meditate better. But, at that time I was chasing temporary states. Any state of mind including bliss is temporary. And sometimes I didn’t get the state of mind I sought. I attempted to discipline myself to meditate in order to improve my day. That did not last.
Later on, I completely dropped meditation. When I had my first few stages of awakening, I did 0 formal meditation, but retrospectively I realized I was meditating. I was doing inquiry and investigation of reality and my self every minute I had the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this chance. The truth that my mind was completely conditioned and programmed hit me. Nothing was what it seemed. Not only was nearly everyone around me wrong, but my own mind was wrong. I am now back to meditating, but without trying to meditate if that makes sense. I think what stuck and what helped is a more developed insight or a realization of what reality and the self is. After a very rough life of suffering and chasing unsatisfactory things, this mind has realized that really, meditation is very helpful for realization the nature of reality. It seems like most people don’t understand what meditation is really for or how to do it (or perhaps they don’t care because they don’t realize it’s true power kinda like using a smartphone to warm your hands without knowing it can also be used for much more). I have reached the limits of my intellect and reasoning and tasted direct experience of reality. Insight, introspection, and complete honesty/sincerity with your direct experience will not fail you, whether you formally meditate or not. Ironically, my mental health, resilience, happiness, and productivity is better today than it has ever been (even during the time where I was informally meditating – that is meditating without consciously meditating). Meditation is what you will inevitably do when you sincerely want to investigate what’s going on and reached the limits of everything else. Reading and listening to the very wise humans who understand reality better than you do might help you realize if their words resonate with your direct experience.
I needed to calm my mind for my own sanity. It ended up tapping me into my intuition which kept me safe. I could no longer deny God or at least a higher power after my experience. Cus weeds and psychedelics is illegal where I live and in order to imitate the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this same effects, I do meditation. And turned to love it cus I became more conscious You’re going to have to explain this better to me. You took part of someone else’s content without permission and you claim to have made it derivative… That’s not how fair use works in this case. Yes Ik, but If u edit the video, it technically becomes your content. It’s basically like reaction channels reacting to videos and give their personal opinions on it, they added their own “Spice/content” to it and it gets monitized.
If a YouTuber is watching a music video, movie clip, or another copyrighted piece of media in their reaction video, they’re using someone else’s copyrighted content. This can lead to copyright claims or strikes, especially if the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this entirety or substantial parts of the copyrighted material are shown without interruption. Yes but there is ways of avoiding that lmao, there’s streamers like “Imdontai” on YouTube who just minimizes his stream and somehow gets monitized from it. I mean it works for him so I just told myself to give it a shot. It works for now… Until it doesn’t and all monetization get clawed back. In the long run it isn’t going to work and never has. Do you see any, and I mean any, long term react channels? They all fold up shop.
Also, those channels are very likely not monetized. They have very little content up and their age is definitely not in the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this “long term” category. Work on making original content and you’ll do fine. Those you quoted will be gone before the end of summer. You might want to research more into this.. But I can definitely tell you this.. That is not at all how it works. What did you do to make it transformative content? If you just added subtitles for instance that does not fall under fair use WRONG ANSWER! this is not transformative content; this is stealing content. It may still work to be monitized but not forever, it could come crashing down any day. Make something original, trust me you will be much more proud of it!
i got my hands on an mp3 player and i want to be like my parents and try to spend a week without smartphone. my stepmom was a teen in the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this 2000s, but she’s really busy so she can’t really help me out with this question. what did you use instead of a smartphone? and then I’m not talking about the phone before that, because I’m aware that those flip phones and chonky phones were a thing. I also know paper planners, mp3 players, digital cameras and such but now I’m stuck because what else is something you had to carry around and use because it wasnt preindtalled in your phone? what did a y2k teen carry around and do on the daily?Everybody smoked, ashtrays were everywhere, I haven’t smoked in 25yrs but they use to taste good when I was young, I can’t stand the smell now
I remember when the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this shopping carts at the grocery store had built in ashtrays. And the ones built into the toilet paper holder in public bath room stalls. So bizarre to think of today. Imagine the smell! I remember the smell of the smoking rooms in hospitals and the clack clack clack of the “smoke eaters”. It smelled like piss to me as a child and it remains burned into my memory. Yes. Thats wild to think of now. I mean, if a section is for smoking, the whole damn place is going to have smoke in it and smell like smoke! It might just all be in my mind now but I don’t remember cigarette smoke bothering me. All my parents friends smoked in the house, car you name it . I was a teenager in the late 90s and early 2000s. My mom smoked, so when we went out to eat there was always an hour wait for a table. The non smoking wait time was 15 to 30 minutes. It sure feels like it. I did. Most of my friends did. Most of the adults I know did too. We had smokers’ porches at my high school still in the 90s. I quit when I had my first kid, 13 years ago, and it’s so weird to think back on there being a time that I always had a cigarette in hand, lol I had a 5 minute rule. No matter where I was or what I was doing, I had 5 minutes to find a find a pay phone and call my mom back if she beeped me, or I was grounded for 1-6 months. I got grounded a lot.
I didn’t get a cell phone until 2003 and even then, it was only for emergencies because I think I only had like 100 minutes a month. No texting. Bingo, exact same experience. I think it was Christmas 2002 that I got my first cell, texting wasn’t really “a thing” yet and it was basically for my parents to be able to contact me since I was out with my friends ALL the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this time. Man, how things have changed for kids now… You wanted to make a phone call? You used the landline at home or the place you were going. Needed information? You used your computer at home or went to a library. Wanted to remember stuff? Better have a good system of writing it down in a place you’ll remember to read it. The idea of lugging around a bunch of extra stuff at all times wasn’t really a thing. You might bring a book or mp3 if you knew you’d be sitting around somewhere for a while, but that was about it.
that seems so nice and simple. i thought because you didnt have smartphone, you had to bring everything a smartphone offers in a bag or something I used an alarm clock to wake up, a day planner to keep track of stuff, and a calculator for mathing stuff. But the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this idea of bringing any/all of those with me at all times wouldn’t have crossed my mind. No you just usually didn’t have them. Having a camera used to be bulky. You had to buy film. You could take like 24 pictures and couldn’t review what they looked like. You had to take your film to a store to get processed and only after paying could you see that you maybe took three or four good pictures out of the roll. If you want a copy of the picture you have to take the negative back to the store and pay for a copy. If the negative gets wet or too hot it will be damaged. I used to carry a boom box on the bus on the way to high school so I could listen to music that I liked not the AM radio Neal Diamond shit the bus driver played. I mean when you really think about it, we dont really NEED that stuff at a moments notice. Its just really nice and conventient.
Remember pay phones and phone booths? Pay phones were in bars and restaurants. It used to be a dime to make a call. When people’s pagers went off, they looked for a pay phone. Most teens in the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this late 90s/early 2000s didn’t have an old-school cellphone, those were mostly limited to older adults or rich kids until around 2003 or so when more and more teens started getting cellphones. Pagers were a thing then, but again most teens/kids wouldn’t have had one of those either. MP3 players weren’t quite a thing until maybe 2001-2002, and before that CD walkmans were basically it. Aside from that, we mostly just carried nothing other than pens/pencils/wallet/keys or school supplies. ah okay thanks for explaining! ive never heard of pagers so I’ll look it up in a bit !! and I think I’ve seen a cd walkman before in my attic !! it all looks so cool like i grew up as an ipad kid but my parents always talk about how it was better back in the day so im trying to learn about their time !! My friend has a pager – he wasn’t a drug dealer or a doctor so I have no idea why he had one. This was like mid 90s. So I would page him, he’d be driving or something and have to search for a gas station with a payphone, pull over, call me on the payphone for me to be like “what are you up to?”
I had a work cellphone and a personal pager. A CD wallet was something you carried around in your backpack it held 10-15 CDs so you can switch what you listened to. The CD Walkman would skip. Cds could get scratched and wouldn’t play right. Prior to the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this mp3 player, a portable cassette player was the most reliable. Of course that was analog and had tape hiss, and tapes would wear out over time. They could get jumbled up and ruined. You used to have to rewind them with a pencil sometimes. To make a call you had to find a payphone and then have the right coins. If you hadn’t memorized the number you needed, you could try to look it up in the paper phone book attached to the payphone, but those were often out of date, vandalized or partially ruined. We had paper maps you could buy at the gas station, but you had to figure out for yourself where you were on the map.
Some things were better, some were worse. When I grew up, we were always worried that the Real women love football smart women love the San Francisco 49ers shirt Additionally,I will love this Russians would launch a first nuclear strike on us and wipe out the world. You think inflation is bad now, it was horrible in the 70’s People saying it was better back in the day are just having nostalgia. Yeah the world looks better when you are young with your future ahead of you. Enjoy yourself OP. It depends on the location too. Here in Finland a lot of teens had phones back then (probably at least partially because Finland was on the forefront of mobile technology back then because of Nokia). Yeah chain wallets, I remember that being a thing lol. Lots of people walking around thinking people are going to steal their wallets & if they do you can always hit them with a chain /s. But I think it was mostly for looks
