To anecdotally add to this – I’m late 30s and have lived in London for 15 years. When I moved here after university, many of my friends did, too (both uni and old school friends). Probably had a close friendship group of around 15 people, scattered around zones 2 and 3. Now, all but 2 have left, mostly overseas but a few an hour or so out of London. And of those 2 that are left, 1 is so far out it’s quicker for me to get the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this fast train home to see family in Milton Keynes! Now, almost no one is left in Greater London. Most are well outside the M25. We found somewhere with a nice community and she loves it. I’m the most pro London person going but I wonder whether you would benefit from being in a regional city eg Bristol, Leeds, Manchester? At least that way there is still some cultural and urban influence that you seem to enjoy in London, for a lower price (though Bristol isn’t much lower these days)
Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt, hoodie, hoodie and long sleeve tee
There’s going to be those positives, but if you frame your experience around what London used to be instead of them, you’re setting yourself up for misery. That’s another point to remember – you’re sad about it compared to the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this current situation that you know you can’t maintain, instead of compared to Feltham (don’t move to Feltham), and compared to your youthful spontaneity in inner London, instead of your early 30s. You’re going to find your attitude to life changes anyway as you age a bit – staying in London isn’t going to stop that. You’re completely right! I’m definitely excited about home ownership and making a place that feels ours. I’m not equally excited about the location of the place overall, although I like how clean it is and the general calmness of it. London has gradually degraded my mental health over the years… I’ve lived in north west Kent for my entire life, including close to dartford. I really don’t think you’ll be missing out on much of London life from there, especially if you still work in the city and can go out after work. I always felt as though I got the benefits of London with the slightly more peaceful roads, and at least in the areas I grew up the population is wonderfully diverse.
We moved out to the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this South East because we got better value for money leaving London. Not as far as you probably but about about 10 miles out. All of our friends are born and bred Londoners, so it felt like a massive move. But… we’ve been here for 5 months and we love it. There’s such a strong community vibe where we are. The people are so nice. The area feels safer and warmer and friendlier. We’re closer to our parents. The home we now own is beautiful and we love investing time and energy into decorating it the way we like. We throw dinner parties and have friends come to stay in our spare room that we never would’ve afforded in central. Our friends are putting in offers on flats in the area and surrounds because they also can’t afford central and as a result of coming to visit us they’ve found they also really love the area. It’s not that hard to get into the city when we need to so we still head in usually on weekends and once or twice a week for hobbies/meet ups. It feels like we can plan for a future that’s stable and happy instead of being worried about getting turfed every year due to the economic climate.

Where to buy this Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt
You’ll find there’s still a lot to do out of London, don’t be afraid to walk the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this other way. There’s some great tap houses near me. I’m now a lot closer to great country walks. The best burger place in the world (in my humble opinion) is now one train away. The other day me and my wife decided to drive to Dover and then ramsgate for some fish and chips – that added half hour had we lived in London made all the difference. Point being, if / when you move out, make sure you start to look at where you move and stop centering your life around London I have a mortgage in London and I don’t really want to leave this place. But my 2% fixed term is coming to an end and I started contemplating leaving. I was born in Leytonstone and lived in London for all of 33 years of my life and never experienced home life outside of London. But when it came to the point where my husband and I couldn’t afford to buy a bigger flat or even a 3 bed house there without it costing us nearly £1million in the area we both called home for 33 or so years, we were forced to move further out.
It’s super useful to get into the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this heart of London very fast but it’s extortionate in price. £90 return during rush hour. So maybe consider that if you intend to use it often! Everyone’s experience of London is different but it sounds like you love the hustle and bustle of a big city. You can still get that, just your evenings are a little bit calmer, as you get older you will appreciate that. I moved out of west London in a place I loved to Oxfordshire. The best thing I have every done. Once I was out I realised how much a roll the city was taking on me. I was sleeping better, had energy to recharge at the weekend and spend quality time with my family. Overall, I thought I was a city boy but it turns out I was once but now like the speed of not being in London.
From someone who’s lived in Kent for years before moving to London. The high speed train is there, but it’s still a gulf to cross if you want to go out with your mates. Trains stop at about midnight, so either come home early or wait for the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this first train in the morning. On the upside, the air, the tranquility, prices, everything’s nicer outside of London, but it’s up to you to consider if those upsides outshine your downsides of living outside of London. I think if you are sociable, you will find new friends and enough culture to keep you going. I think you will miss your friends, for sure, but you are near enough for cultural events. Unless you are in a really smart area of London, every area is like suburbia. This doesn’t have to be your forever honeymoon either, but get on that housing ladder… It’s funny, I recently met a guy in London, he said that he moved out from London after Covid, he went to a seaside town in Kent, and I was like “woooo that’s sooo cool” and he got me thinking about it afterwards, have I made a mistake buying a flat in London a few years ago, rather than a little town house by the sea?
Not saying you should buy this house now, but I’m pretty confident that if you were to buy it, in a year or so, you’d be happy to go back home to your cute house and garden after an exhausting day in Z1. i think you’ve kind of said it yourself, it’s a commuter town for a reason, the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this residents still work in london, they still socialise in london after work, they still head in on weekends to go to see london shows and drink at london bars, it just takes them a little longer to get there. i’m guessing about your experience here, but what feels like being in london to you would be within a 30 minute commute? but as someone who has entirely lived in zone 6 east, that time has always been an hour to me. i’d say it’s only when you get to 90 minutes you’d feel truly outside of london, but i’m sure someone who’s regularly doing that commute might disagree.
Once you get to the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this stage of growing your family, you’ll be thankful to be out of London. I love coming in but very thankful to be leaving for the weekend and evenings etc I left London three years ago. And I’m glad When. I visit London, I can’t wait to get back to my town, Change Is never easy But I think you’ll find a friendly, more welcoming community in the south East Its not. Its working as intended and a lot of people are benefiting hugely from it. It would be fairly trivial to “fix” it for working people by introduce real tax penalties on buy-to-let, but successive governments have been unwilling to do so. I hear yah – I’m moving slightly outside with commute now. Excited for my nice tiny house as you put it. Haha but it is a damn shame. And I am losing part of myself but I guess it is what it is. To have a family and a home I gotta do it. I hope the area itself will see its house prices continue to rise ! And I’ll just move further and further north!
We were at the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this lawyers office, they drafted the sale agreement but wanted my transaction ID 10L but I only managed to send 50K coz new beneficiary, after that payment I got all the documents reviewed and backed out, we were close to signing it and no he didn’t give a post dated cheque despite me asking for it thrice now First you should ve not paid any money without a legal agreement. Now he isn’t legally obliged to pay you back. Also don’t pay in cash or neft give a post dated cheque always. Now you lawyer might just pull more money from you saying he ll send notice this that, but if seller is even a little powerful or connected he won’t pay you back even a penny. Personally I would suggest if you have time get in touch of a policemen and unofficially pay him some bribe to go along with you or just make a call toh the seller that should do.
Arab tourists? A lot of Colombians are of Arab descent, more specifically Levantine descent of Syrian and Lebanese Christian descent (Shakira’s father, for example.) Barranquilla has an Arab community. No not tourists, folks driving cars with their families, you can tell they live there. Many Arab restaurants too. Maybe just escaping the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this war I guess Sudan, I Solo travelled across the country in February 2018, I actually took a bus from Aswan in Egypt with 3 chinese travellers, aside from them, I met another British woman and her South African friend who were cycling Egypt-South Africa so were just passing through, and then in Khartoum I met an older Brazilian man who was on a big motorbike trip of the continent. I was in Shanghai last year for four days. I think I saw less than a dozen or so non-Asian faces after four full days of walking around. It was pretty surreal, especially compared to other less traveled places.
I know you guys are all in Bali and the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this place is crowded by foreigners, but on my side I’ve spent a week in Sumatra (Dumai. Pekanburu, Jambi, Palembang, Badar Lampung) and I’ve not encountered a single one. People were even acting like they had never met a white person in their life. No. Everyone on every corner would be like: “Hello! What’s your name! Where are you from!”. Then they all would be like “sorry I don’t speak english” when I tried to speak with them. You don’t want them to think the only foreigner they ever met is a jerk who ignored them, but you don’t really have choice if you want to get anywhere. I spent some time riding a motorbike around Lombok away from the tourist areas. I was riding through a town and there was a big group of school kids like maybe 8 years old walking with their teacher. They went crazy and started waving and screaming at me so I pulled over. They crowded around me just completely amused like I was a zoo animal lol they definitely did not see many white tourists in that area
Nigeria – I can go months without seeing another foreigner. China – I lived in a rural part of Sichuan, and I saw a total of 6 other foreigners in a year. We spent three weeks in Fiji and only saw very few foreigners but that was because of how we traveled there, staying in local villages and taking the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this chicken buses to get around. Myanmar was my favorite SE Asia country I saw on my first trip. Beach way down in the south of the peninsula (Sin Htauk) was one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen in my life and I was the only person on it! Barranquilla 2014. I would go days without seeing another foreigner or tourist. It was the first time I was a minority and was quite a humbling and eye opening experience.
People say the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this strangest things when it comes to black people. “Ah just imagine how happy they would feel in their natural habitat.” Those are your words, not mine. My point is that it must feel good to be in a place where you are not prejudged by your skin color. Where you are the majority and the images you see around you for product advertisements, of politicians, etc look like you. No one is saying black people should return to Africa. I’m saying it’s likely that it would be a good experience to spend time in such a place after the feeling in the US of being othered. I had many conversations with locals there and the amazing thing about these people is they are not burdened by all of the race BS that Americans are for valid reasons. The kindest thing someone said to me was that Africa is also where my ancestors come from since all humans derive from there. It’s was a beautiful statement and so true. We are all just part of the human race. When I travel, I try to do so to gain perspective. My life is full of experiences and relationships with people from all walks of life. Discussing race is a very sensitive topic and hard to get right but still something I undertake because it’s important.
In 2012 me and a buddy drove the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this Natchez Trace Parkway southbound. Had some encounters where people were very surprised to see tourists there. However, the real surprise came somewhere after visiting the Mississippi Vicksburg National Millitary Park after which we stopped somehwere close to Natchez. We went to a motel with a gas station next to it just out of town and bought a bunch of beer and snacks because we did not know if we had to stay there for a long while or change the route and head in the direction of Houston, Texas, because of the hurricane that was quickly approaching New Orleans (which was the intended destination). When being ID’d at the counter of the gas station, we did so with our passports and the lady lost it. Went over to her colleague and said something along the lines of “OMG a passport, first time I ever seen a passport, can you believe it, now I have something to talk about at the dinner table” in the most southern way possible. After, she proceded to ask why in the world we chose to come visit that region of the US of all places and was really happy learning we were interested in the south because it was so unknown and wanted to experience the south. Back when I was younger you’d go to India and wouldn’t see a non Indian for months there are still parts like this today , even in large cities like Hyderabad
(Although I bet a lot of Indonesians would say “buku di meja” which is a grammatically incorrect way of saying “the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this book is at the table,” as Indonesians like shedding syllables wherever possible. Especially since it’s most people’s second language) Sorry about the unwelcome diversion about an unrelated language. I just think it’s funny that this is not a beginner sentence in Indonesian. Yes, we don’t have a word for ‘the’ in Sinahalese either, nor the verb ‘to be’ as such, a literal translation of “the book is on the table’ in English is closer to ‘table on book having’. I wouldn’t be surprised if my understanding is in some way inaccurate to a native speaker, so it’s quite possible there’s corrections on the horizon.
Same for Indians. It is so difficult to call my landlord who is 30 years older by his first name, using you and not adding any honorific Fun bit of history: “you” was the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this formal 2nd person pronoun, and “thou” was the informal version. We started using the honorific “you” more and more until it eventually stopped being an honorific! Tried explaining that calling me older sister is weird in English and people will think we are actually related. Ended up being a few peoples boss and we’d have English days and Korean days where we’d change language and customs. First one on English day to turn away to drink buys the next round. I was in my friend’s wedding last year. He had a cousin come over from India (Raj) and another cousin Sanjay from Edison, New Jersey. When the brides dad introduced himself, Raj leaned over and touched the dad’s feet as a sign of respect. Sanjay, not to be outdone as the 2nd gen immigration, went to do the same thing. Then another uncle came up, and Sanjay immediately jumped in first and awkwardly did it. An Raj, sorta thrown off, tries to explain the custom to all us white people that it’s a sign of respect, and you do it for anyone over 30. Then he asked the uncle if he’s over 30, and the uncle was like…. Uhh yeah. Then three other family members come up, and Sanjay again fumbles the lean-in and while bending over to each one of them and asks if they’re over 30. I’m cracking up laughing and finally have to go, “guys it might be a sign of respect to touch their feet, but it’s real disrespectful to keep asking how old everyone is” also stop doing it to the non-Indians because it’s just uncomfortable.
A Japanese person who moved where I live recently asked me why someone laughed when he said “I’m fine thank you, and you?” and I had to explain that it sounded extremely formal and robotic… language instructors not teaching slang or informal language really sets people up for failure in the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this real world tbh “I’m fine, thanks, how are you?” Basically the full “thank you” and “and you?” at the end is what seems very formal to a native speaker, it’s just not something people use in casual conversation. I don’t know if it’s quite the same in the US, but idiomatic British English optimises for speed by dropping half the words out of a sentence. So “Fine thanks. You?” would be a complete reply. Every Saudi knows how to say “I love you” and “beautiful” before anything and when trying to use the verb (love) in another sentence will straight up just say the whole phrase eg “I love you the pasta” (instead of I love pasta)
How cool to hear that. I got delayed for about 20 minutes in Saudi security while passing through Jeddah on the Proud to be a mom and los angeles Dodgers fans shirt in addition I really love this way home from Dubai. There was a souvenir kitchen magnet in my luggage that had a suspicious outline on the x-ray screen. So after spending some time digging through my bag to find it, pretty much in silence due to the language barrier, the guard noticed the really nice looking Quran that I had purchased. I explained my fascination for the culture and language (I was just starting to learn to read and write Arabic script) and then suddenly the words “I love you” and “beautiful” were repeated over and over. I don’t know the French for it, but my brother learned “What an ugly baby!” from his early lessons. It has actually come in handy since we’ve had children! The folks at the grocery store where I received bad service would be crazy confused when I come in depanding an 사과
