(And to be honest, when I was a kid, that’s what I thought vanilla was! I thought it was just what you called something that didn’t have any flavor added.) Because they’re most typically the ones that ignore their OWN culture/lineage/heritage/ancestry for the resounding label of ‘white.’ They hardly thread through themselves culturally so why would anyone else? I just had this conversation the other night that there’s SO much culture lol but it’s just kinda not cared about in the same way as other prominent cultures care about theirs. lame if you ask me!

What white Americans are you talking about? The Catholic whites or the Protestant ones? The Jewish white Americans? Or do you mean the Scandinavian white Americans?
