The supporting cast was great. Was hanging for more Andy Serkis as Alfred. Zoe Kravitz and Jeffrey Wright are always great. Colin Farrell was fantastic. And I was over the Playing Guitar Buckethead Al Unisex T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this moon to see the GREAT John Turturro back in a good role in a good movie. To me, he’s one of our greatest actors. Put him in more movies please. Paul Dano was…Sir Not Appearing In This Movie. I was so hyped to see him in a twisted role but you really only get him for a couple of scenes. He didn’t scare me. He didn’t blow me away. He also sort of disappears from the movie for a large stretch of it in the middle. A bit underwhelming. But the movie was still locked in 4 stars. And then. That fucking Joker scene. The most obnoxiously crowbarred in sequel set up. And again with the Joker. Everyone always talks about how diverse and wide ranging Batman’s rogues gallery is, but the movies keep going back to the god damn Joker. I hated every single aspect of that scene and wish someone could take it out and burn the negative. A mostly really solid film, it unfortunately left me with a bad taste in my mouth right at the end, but I still really enjoyed it.

FUCK YOU TO THE THREE GUYS SITTING BEHIND US AND YELLING AT EVERY SINGLE ACTION SCENE. FUCK YOU. You have to put them in their place on the Playing Guitar Buckethead Al Unisex T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this spot, not wait till you get home to post about it on Reddit my dude. Sorry that happened. I thought the pacing in the first have was perfect, but then really stalled in the second half. I liked certain aspects and the mood of it, but didn’t love it overall. Too messy and disheveled plotwise for its own good, in my opinion. I could see that. The plot was missing something and I have yet to figure out what it is. Like the mise en scene was on point, but the plot had a gap somewhere. Question for those who watched: is the 72% metacritic score too low for this? It’s slightly low but in the right range. I think 70-range is where it belongs. Too good for 60 but definitely not 80 or higher. Not that you should put too much focus on metascores.
