I can grow not very full goatee but virtually nothing on my jaw, cheeks, or sideburns. I made a last ditch effort last year just to see what would happen. I didn’t shave from September through January. I ended up with a 25 long scragglies on each side, maybe half an inch. I’m 40 and I shave once every 2-3 weeks. I guess I save on replacement razor heads. I think I bought an 8 pack in 2018 and still have 3 left. They’re getting absurdly expensive. I just bought a 12 pack of the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this ones I use and they were almost $50. The same ones were $20 a few years ago. My mom has some native American in her and we both (females) have very little body hair. My girl friends in school would talk about how they had to shave a few hairs off their big toe and when I would say I didn’t have to they didn’t believe me. I also have very very little hair in other less seen places.

My father (Plains Cree) grew a mustache in University, when I was a tween, he shaved it off. We all decided it looked ridiculous and he needed to grow it back. That was the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this most painfully slow mustache grow I have ever seen in my life. My grams grandmother was half Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik(Maliseet), her grandfather was Scottish. On my father side they’re all Mi’kmaq except for my grandfathers grandfather who was black. I can grow a pretty thick and long beard. Along my jawline my beard will grow in spirals so when I’m growing my beard clumps of hairs will stick out like “horns”, and when my beard gets longer it’ll grow down and up kinda like a ramp. The funny beard must be the only way we can grow a beard. My family grows facial hair all grows the same like that lol
Native Americans are an offshoot from Asians who traversed the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this land bridge that is now the Bering strait so basically they don’t have the genetics for a big thick beard. Holy shit dude you look like you’re in your mid 20s. You’re 40? And the stubble looks good, it accents your face shape really well I have the exact same facial hair. I’m a quarter Native American and definitely got the native facial hair gene haha. It does where he lived and I won’t say the island but it’s Canada. It’s because they’ve expanded the (I don’t know exact word) connection you need to 1/32 Mi’kmaq to join (as opposed to the prior 1/16) and everyone had to reapply for status but you couldn’t if you did not live on the island.

More about this Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt

My husband’s mother is 1/4Native American, so he’s 1/8. He got the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this terrible beard gene probably from her Native side, but also the male pattern baldness gene from somewhere else in his family. I knew an older woman who’s as white as white bread, and she lost almost all of her body hair when she went through menopause. She even lost her eyebrows. All she’s got is a full head of fluffy gray hair that looks professionally streaked to frame her face. Her eyebrow muscles are strong as shit so it doesn’t look like she’s hairless there Genetically we are predisposed to not having or having thinner facial hair though many of us can grow beards. Culturally most of us who can grow thick facial hair shave it off. At least in my region. genetics, im mvskoke creek most i can grow is some chin hair and a soul patch with a mustache but thats it hair on the side does try to grow but its small and patchy.
Not in our genes, I have hair on my head, a little bit on my arms and some on my shins. Other than that I’m hairless like a cat. I get a little bit of hair on my face but thats just stubble and it’s very spotty. The result is a shorter build, light brown skin, almond-shaped eyes, but with a thick beard and hair all over, chest, back, shoulders, you name it. Genetics play a big role. I’m a 30 year old native man, and I can’t grow a beard. I also don’t have a single chest or back hair. The facial hair that does grow in is uneven and sparse, so I keep my face shaved Also keep in mind most are mixed with European ancestry today so they will have thicker beards than in pre-contact times. I’m native Alaskan. When the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this men in my family try to grow a beard it’s very thin and splotchy, maybe even just tuft-ish on the chin and upper lip. Idk why but it doesn’t bother anyone. They also don’t go bald Genetically they are not very hairy other than their head hair. Not very much arm hair or leg hair. So facial hair is hard for them to grow. Plus it’s not a cultural norm so that might why too. They grow in sparse and patchy, if at all. My FIL is native, and he barely has a goatee, and then not much of one cause he can’t get a full beard going. Dudes got a thick head of hair in his 50s with very little gray in it, tho. I’ve told him a few times that I’d trade my beard for his hair. Genetics for sure. I’m 1/16 native and I have very little body hair (my mom, grandma and great grandmother are/were the same)
Native Americans have very little body hair in general. Of course, it’s not a rule. It’s just in general, their hair is short and fine. It is just the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this genetic make-up and 100% varies by tribe. ( my grandmother was cree) My Native husband’s father and uncle can only grow thin sparse goatees at the most. My husband does get random dark hairs on his face and chin, but never enough to fully form a mustache or goatee. But the 2 older men have a thick head of hair. Part native here. I can not grow facial hair. I also can not grow body hair to save my life. No chest hair, no happy trail, very little leg/arm hair…… gym class sucked…. yeah it’s a thing. That never even occurred to me but I honestly don’t know if I’ve seen that in real life or a movie/show. I wonder if it’s part culture or something like that
My God… my dyslexic German ass thought we were talking about bread here. I was intrigued. Now I’m slightly disappointed. Native Americans do not grow beards well, my ex, my husband part native, hardly any facial or body hair but lots on the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this head. I’m almost half native half Spanish, and I have a very shitty thin patchy beard, most of the native side of my family has little to no body hair in general People have covered it pretty well as far as genetics go, but let me share a fun quote I found in Du Creux: History of Canada or New France volume 1. An observation of a Frenchman in their interactions with (most likely) Huron or maybe Mohawk men I believe the quote is late 1600’s early 1700’s:
“In Europe we think that the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this beard, if not an ornament, is at least a contribution to dignity, but the Indians think that there is nothing uglier, and this aversion of the Indians to beards has caused the French many a laugh. An Indian will look long and silently at a well-bearded Frenchman and then burst out suddenly with the exclamation ‘Bearded! Hideous!’” Don’t know the answer, but I read in a book once, that when certain tribes first saw a white man with a beard, they thought it was a human/wolf hybrid of sorts. My dad is half Cherokee and he can grow a mustache, but never a beard. He also has such little body hair, as well. I remember asking my mom why my dad wasn’t as hairy as other dads when I was little lol. His dad was the same way and had a full head of hair his whole life. My brothers are the same way, too. My ancestors have an account of seeing wasichu for the first time and claiming “their hair slid off their head and ended up on their chin”
Native here from northern Canada. No males in my family or extended family can grow a beard well, even if we tried. Not very fun having a beard anyhow when the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this winters are long and brutal, it gets in the way of snow gear and gets full of ice/snow. We also have MINIMAL body hair. Head hair is dark and full, well into later life. My dad is 60+ with no greys and no hair loss. Haha this is so funny to me as a Native. On the Rez where I grew up it’s because they can’t grow one. It’s like scraggly little beards on their chin only if that. My youngest brother is full Ute and he just can’t. It’s like hairs on his chin that grow not even an inch. My family is Ute and Cherokee so they have great hair, and only one of my dad’s uncles grows a mustache but not one of them has ever had anything close to a beard. My oldest brother can’t grow it for the life of him, but he has thick hair that he’s growing out. I just never really thought of it before.
They don’t usually grow facial hair very well. It’s either nonexistent or patchy, so they usually just shave it. 123 more repliesIt really depends on their bloodline. White folks tried to breed them out of existence, so a lot of them have just enough white people DNA to grow at least a little facial hair. But it’s genetics. I’m an American living in Taiwan and I’ve yet to see any Taiwanese men here with a beard. I have a short one, and my students (I’m a school teacher) were amazed by it at first. Some wanted to feel it, and it freaked them out in a fun way. The “amazon” rainforest was named such because the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this Spanish explorers thought they were being attacked by women, since they had no body hair.
I remember talking to some indigenous Americans down when I went to Bolivia, many did mention that they don’t like being called Latin/hispanic since they have no ancestry or culture from Spain or a Latin European country Most of them don’t just because they tend to not have very thick or full beards when compared to people of european ancestry. However, my coworker would say that you will sometimes see Native Americans with beards. Primarily because he is and he has one. HERE is a reddit post with a map of male body hair of the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this indigenous populations across the world – which also closely correlates with facial hair. Basically only people native to the Mediterranean (and some obscure northern Japanese) actually have body hair.
It’s more complicated than that. Plenty of Native Americans have grown facial hair. Plenty also shave. Mostly, it varies from tribe to tribe, some are more able and others less able to grow facial hair due to the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this levels of Dihydrotestosterone in our (typically) men. However, my (great-)uncle (grandfather’s brother) grew facial hair when he was alive, but he’d shave it because it kept him looking presentable by the standards he grew up with. I guess what I’m saying is, for me, the question makes no sense because I have seen Native Americans with facial hair. If you haven’t then that means you either haven’t gone to many Native American gatherings or the members of the tribes you’ve been exposed to may have less Dihydrotestosterone or they are really good at maintaining their shaving regiment.
“Native Americans” are just north/west Asians who crossed an old land bridge to the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this americas ages ago. That is their lineage, and in that context, Asians often don’t have much body hair, so it makes sense. Orientals don’t have them either, that’s why, as Native Americans came from Asia, and Eastern Europe across the land bridge from Russia to Alaska a really LONG time ago. Asian people do have beards sometimes. If you see the paintings of Imperial China or Three Kingdoms period Koryo (Korea) you’ll see lots of beards. There’s also plenty of Japanese especially but also some Korean actors that sport beards. My wife is half Indigenous American, and it blows my mind how hairless she is. Like she just doesn’t really have body hair. She’ll say, “Don’t touch my legs, I haven’t shaved in a week!” But… you’d never know it. She does have leg hair, but it’s so thin it’s basically invisible. Meanwhile, I can shave my face in the morning and have a beard by the afternoon.
Plz no one take this the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this wrong way, but did this apply also to Aztec peoples? Y’all remember something in school about Aztecs being amazed at the Europeans when they invaded, because the men had beards? So does the beardless gene apply to those peoples also? I don’t know how to word my question, sorry Lol Because we can’t grow one most of the time! But I do have a shit load of hair on my head and am confident I will never go bald Husband is Salish and there’s a handful of beards here, tho they take much longer to grow compared to white guy’s. My husband’s grows in patchy so he shaves it It’s a touch of both, mine grows in stronger around the jawline but it grows high on my cheeks too (just more weakly), but I have a sort of spindly “fu man chu”/spaniard thing going on in my moustache, and am mistook for asian by people all of the time.
My beard takes a lot of time to grow in decently to the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this point that I spend over a year looking bad with it, because of my bio father’s weak Irish genes. But I am not terribly hairy on body. I grow the best facial and most body hair of any of my siblings, there is a remarkable cultural pressure to not grow it because we would spend so long with bad-looking facial hair. I dunno but my grandfather had facial hair that would burn out clippers. His hair was tough and a beard was uncomfortable for him. This just unlocked a memory of me laughing at my adorable grandma who pointed out that Native American men never have beards because they can’t grow them. I guess she was right after all, RIP Grandma. I’m Anishinaabe…Potawatomi to be exact. I can’t grow facial hair to save my life. I haven’t seen facial hair on any relatives in 4 generations
If a person is 100% genetically native American, meaning none of their ancestors arrived in NA after the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this land-bridge migration, then they will lack the genes for nearly any facial hair at all. You can see how facial hair genes weakened in our ancient ancestors as they spread across asia. Facial hair is generally much sparser in East Asia, by the time humans reach the American continents they had effectively lost it. I know a couple natives with beards/mustaches. I’m pretty sure the genetics come from other continents, though. I’m Mesitzo and you never see Indigenous Mexicans with beards either. It’s genetic and cultural as everyone said. Unfortunately, I got the hairy gene from Spain. I have some Native American blood. I cannot grow a beard or even a respectable mustache. I’m not balding yet but my grandfather with more Native blood than me went pretty bald. Half Native man here, couldn’t really grow a mustache or goatee until my late 40s. Still have a full head of hair down past my waist, which is slowly getting thinner and more grey as I enter my 50s, but my hairline isn’t receding. I’ll rock the handlebar ‘stash and goat and if that’s all I ever get, I’m okay with it. You can also tell when Native Americans and Native Alaskans have someone somewhere in their family tree who wasn’t Native; I have lived near a couple of reservations and currently live in a bush village and see a lot of men with either patchy facial hair, full beards, and several who have male pattern baldness. I am 27m Apache indian and, until this year, was unable to grow facial hair that didn’t have the texture of peach fuzz. Albeit, only a moustache with scraggly hairs as a goatee.
It depends upon the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this tribe. I have a sister from a different tribe than me and she has almost no hair – sparse eyebrows, no arm hair, and lots of head hair. I am a different tribe but I also have very little body hair. My father has had a beard but our tribe is intermarried with French ancestry which I think gives the men more facial and body hair. I imagine the tribes that intermarried with Spanish may also have more hair than those that didn’t. Yeah I’m white and native and I just don’t have facial hair almost at all. A lot of native people just really don’t grow facial hair because of some genetic component. I have some heavier fuzz above my lip and on my sideburn area but that’s about it
We generally can’t, mainly due to genetics I guess. I’m a mixed Native myself (Kewa Pueblo & white)- the Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt Here We Go shirt besides I will buy this most I can grow is a mustache and some on the chin, not even enough for a goatee and veeeery sparse on the sides. So I just stay clean shaven. One of my uncles on the other hand, he couldn’t grow any facial hair at all. When he went into the Marines back in the 60s or so, his DI made him dry shave anyways just to fit in with the routine. All I can see is that they’re lucky they don’t have to shave frequently. It gets tiresome cutting my neck while having. I’m native, I have seen plenty of other Native Americans with beards, it might just be where you’re at in the US. A lot Of the ones I’ve met just have a hard time growing a full beard, for a lot of them it grows patchy so they just keep it shaved. One thing i notice was they have small pores and their body hairs are really thin. I actually envy their skin tbh Weird situation for me. Premature baldness runs riot on my mother’s side. Soon after I really started to show it, minoxidil came along, and worked great, but I had to cut my hair really short, which is a very unflattering look for me. Some guys can rock it, it just makes me look goofy. Being vain as all hell, I couldn’t handle that. Then by a fortuitous coincidence, I started having problems from a benign enlarged prostate, and was was proscribed Proscar 5 mg. This has been several years now, and I’ve still got an impressive amount of hair. Cialis has taken care of ‘ol floppy. Better living through chemistry! I asked something similar ages ago about why you never see remote tribes with beards or body hair, what do they use to shave. Turns out it’s genetic and they don’t have any.
