They’re food-handlers that don’t require food-handler permits. I think a lot of it is reporting bias. Not too many posts about how content someone is. Yes, there’s some bad experiences. There are good ones too. I still see people using someone else’s account to deliver, etc., or chronic misdelivery for a certain address, or chronic order quality issues from a specific store. Pandemic increased delivery usage as a way of life, and growing pains there. Mostly, though, the bad eggs have filtered out compared to what I’d expect and even compared to 3-4 years ago. That’s pathetic. Considering it’s one of the few very simple things you have check off before you dash. They literally ask you. As a dasher myself( I’m newer than you I assume, probably a lot). I’m 30 orders shy of 1,000. I’ve been dashing part time since December. Totally there with you with the horror stories. They scare me to the point I’m probably like an annoying gf/bf, I’m messaging the customer every arrival/departure/ how many orders I have/ longer routes get multiple etas) it’s very chaotic at times. Especially when you have costumer’s messaging you demands before you even arrive at the restaurant. Though, on the other hand, I kind of understand on account of them being screwed over by PoorDashers so many times. Reading them here sucks. I hate hearing them from the customer or restaurant the most though. I almost feel guilty it’s a weird feeling. Glass half full I get a lot of praise and “best dasher ever” or “ best dash experience I’ve ever had” been sent some nice extra tips after the fact too. Most of which already tipped decent or well enough. Do better people.

Just a little common sense might tell you that. So sick of people thinking they deserve more from door dash. What else do you want???!! You’re not valuable. DoorDash is below entry level work. You ARE replaceable. Instead of coming on here crying everyday do some job apps if you hate it so damn bad. You can make money dashing. You’re just not willing to work hard enough for it. I have not had 1 good experience with any of the delivery services. Whether DD, UE, that other one, hell even dominoes. I never get what I order Its either missing something or something different than what i ordered or it’s delivered to the wrong place. I drive trucks and it’s more expensive to take an uber to the place to eat but If I want what I order that’s what I have to do. Thankfully I haven’t had one abscond with my meal yet like I see all over reddit. And don’t get me started on the tipping argument for these fuckers. Yea man I started dashing in 2019 and it was great, this subreddit also wasn’t as much as a cesspool as it is right now either. These days Dashers will flame you for placing an order “go get it yourself you lazy fuck.” You’d think they’d WANT more people ordering..
