I would love solo traveling but my main issue is money, my budget isn’t huge, so sharing costs by 3 or 4 helps a lot. Hotels are expensive for 1 person, car rental is very expensive, and bunch of other stuff. if you’re solo travelling you should be intentionally going to places where public transport is easy and not renting cars. Many places will be safer than your country of origin, most of Europe is safer than North America for example, so I wouldn’t really worry about that aspect much (if your a woman you have some extra considerations but there are still countless women solo traveling). You’ll be scared the first time, but once you go, you’ll get addicted.

NoLa has some fun hostels and is a v fun place to travel. Best trip of my life was traveling solo to Greece! This is what I was going to suggest. There’s a group called Contiki tours that specializes in young adults traveling. Traveling solo with them is no issue. You make friends right away with your tour mates. Do that once or twice and you’ll feel at home doing it by yourself. Or even better, maybe you make a friend or two who will join you in your future adventures.
