A particular instance I can think of is a pizza restaurant bringing me a pizza box. I’m so surprised by all these responses. I’ve almost always been brought a box when I asked for food to be packed up, never had the food taken away to be packed, and this is in London Maybe London is different? in Wales and the North where i’ve lived it does happen but it’s definitely not everywhere, plenty of places have said no or just not had boxes etc. It’s deffo getting more common though. You know what they say, London is like it’s own country lol. I work in a cafe and give people the box themselves because it’s usually just some cake or half a sausage roll. Im not bothering to bring that into the kitchen to pack up for them. They can do it themselves.

7 years here and I’ve never had any restaurant pack my leftovers for me. They’ve always brought something out for me to do myself. Eww. I love onion rings, but old/stale ones? Fuck that. I was given a box to pack my leftovers in one restaurant – I was eating alone without a hungry husband to finish my portion for me. Depends what you’re taking home. I’m always just given a box to take pizza home, but if it’s say curry, they’ll usually package it for you. I was dining in a Japanese Sushi restaurant in Liverpool few months ago and there was a huge commotion at a table. Hominins have lived alongside each other and interacted for a very long time. Some hominin material cultures spanned several species’ existence, and are therefore likely indicators that hominins always socialised with other hominin species. The oldest material culture, the Oldowan stone tool industry, was practiced by Australopithecus garhi, as well as H. habilis and H. ergaster. It evolved into the Acheulean industry, which was used by H. erectus and possibly H. heidelbergensis. There’s a lot of evidence for hominin interaction based on stone tools alone. Who knows what else they did together?
