Lmao I shoulda been so excited for this game but blizzard has just taken so many opportunities to shit the bed with it. Complain if you want, but D4’s shop is the most unobtrusive one of its type I’ve ever seen. It’s barely even there. It makes me irrationally angry. I tried clicking through the options in the store in case it was like a “there’s new stuff in the store you haven’t viewed!” type of thing. But it still hasn’t gone away. That is the first step, we are in a bath that is slowly heating up and when we’ll notice that we’re in boiling water it will be too late already. Every day we’re getting closer to the mobile market like business model little by little. Given how lucrative it is, that absolutely what these companies want. I remember about the days where the debate was about 100% cosmetics store in FREE games. At that time, the same thing on a premium game would have completely triggered people. Like I said: They saw what they could get away with with Diablo Immortal, and Diablo IV will be even worse about it.

I very nearly picked this game up but while I was looking in the Xbox store I spotted the currency ’add ons’ …. I will absolutely not support this sort of macro transaction bullshit… I prefer macrotransaction bullshit like this (pay X for Y) than the microtransaction/loot box bullshit (pay 0.X for 1% chance to get Y) I have horse armor in Skyrim. I hate it. I hate horses in Skyrim in general. Every time you travel, your mount (which you’re not on) just automatically charges into battle. And I can’t just kill it, since I have the unicorn. Yes, you read that right. I have a fucking unicorn, for the same reason I have horse armor. I have the Anniversary Edition, which includes all the Creation Club content. And most of it is cool, you got weapons, you goI do plan on getting d4 cuz my girlfriend really enjoys the playstyle so it’s a fun game we’ll be able to play together… yet we will not be buying any of the shit ass dlc. Like dlc is fine but it need to be affordable and interesting. Not whatever the hell this has become Grim Dawn might be up your alley, without needing to give your money to the hellscape that is Blizzard. My wife and I play it all the time. How is this any different than PoE charging 30+ bucks on wings? Its all the same shit, but I guess it’s cool to shit on blizzard now. Don’t get me wrong, both are pretty meh. Poe is free so it can slide easier. But at the end of the day both games prey on whales. Kind of? Realistically if you play to maps you need to get a few stash tabs ( Map, Premium, Currency ) so it’s prob around 30 bucks to actually enjoy the game in a nice QoL way. Of course you don’t have to, that’s defo true, but gl playing with 4 stash tabs.
