TBH, I went to a public school in a fairly economically depressed area. Whilst it had a low MLL population and was pretty demographically white, we were predominantly working-class/ borderline poverty with a lot of single-parent households who worked multiple jobs.

This was also 15 years ago, so ABA is even more prevalent now, but I understand her point.
