Living with my mum, applying for jobs with a bigger salary daily ??. Planning to leave here too though. VFM is a joke. The shitty thing is not having spending money for things and having to budget if I really want to get something. half my friends are nepo babies so watching them not have a job but go out everyday of the week and their parents paying for rent is mentally crippling.

I am making significant sacrifices, but altogether I live comfortably, and can afford going out multiple times a week, visiting family abroad and other small luxuries. It has to be said though that I am doing this while on a path to improve my situation. Doing this with no endpoint would indeed be depressing. They probably mean relative to highish salaries elsewhere. I am on £70k and I live in a studio flat for £1600pm. Anywhere else in the country and that would be unusual on such a ‘high’ salary
