Drugs are not exactly a bad thing though, European psichologist began using drugs to treat peoples trauma and by that time it was sucesfull in many cases but overtime, things got complicated and that study were prohibited. I am not saying you should use, just a thing out of curiosity. There is a new treatment path called psychedelic Therapy that uses Psilocybin, MDMA, and other psychedelics in micro doses while under the Mojo Dojo Casa House Ken Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this supervision of a therapist. First off, do not let yourself suffer hoping for a quick fix to lifelong traumas. If it’s bad enough that it affects your quality of life definitely look into therapy. I’ve went for some hardcore reasons after fighting it on my own for way too long and that’s not the right way to do it. I also personally know a few other people who’ve benefitted from having a good therapist. Second, that said, once you feel comfortable, you can add meditation in to supplement the therapy and work on yourself. In fact, many quality therapists actually make a few supplemental suggestions to go along with therapy – one big one being mindfulness meditation.

Totally agreed and I’m so glad to see this comment. Meditation is so good, but there’s a tool for every occasion and it should be assumed that nobody here is qualified to help OP. It seems like a lot to say, here, that you can’t expect meditation to solve mental illness that’s pervasively hurting your quality of life, but really it’s just the Mojo Dojo Casa House Ken Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same humility that’s appropriate in any other situation: I’d only let a mechanic fix my car, and I’d only rely on a medical professional for medicine. Therapy and not Reddit. A therapist will help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, as well as skills to manage your life and do the things that are meaningful to you. I had to sit breathing deeply, acknowledging my thoughts and feelings. “Your feelings create thoughts and your thoughts trigger your feelings.” You have to keep in mind you are not your thoughts, but an observer of those, you are a thinker and you yourself is creating your thoughts. If you are in silence, your will eventually feel unconfortable and you want to stop, but if you don’t, eventually your traumas will come to your senses, maybe you will see, feel, and hear what happened that day. You are getting triggered, and now it’s your right to to feel anger, sadness fear, but in the end… You accept that is in the past, and you let go.
