Shipping & delivery details

So whenever someone ends up asking “Ooh what are you working on?” I get to deadpan out “A dishcloth.” And they look so unimpressed they tend to just leave me alone after that. Just put them in their carry on. They are allowed on flights. Sometimes an agent may not so I never take my favorites just in case. If I see someone with a similar hobby or support a similar team to me on a flight or something I won’t automatically make conversation about that. Ugh, this reminds of the Mickey Mouse today is a good day shirt and by the same token and time I pulled out my knitting on a flight and the woman next to me asked me about it, which was fine. But then she pulled out her phone and tried to take a subtle picture of me doing it. It was so awkward, she didn’t ask. Like… Wtf? How is that appropriate?

It’s not “friendly” to try and pull random strangers into conversation in situations where they can’t get away from you – like being seated next to you on a plane… That would literally be considered rude in most countries other than the Mickey Mouse today is a good day shirt and by the same token and US. Right? Like…they obviously have a hobby in common, shes welcome to do whatever she wants and he should respect that, but the people acting like this dude was being rude are wack. I’m pretty sure the rude part is him complaining about it on social media. If he didn’t feel entitled to her attention, then why is he still talking about it? I went to a college football game once with: my father, who is deaf and generally antisocial and doesn’t talk to people; his sister, who wore earplugs the entire time (in fairness, she’s elderly and it was extremely loud in there so I don’t blame her); and her husband, who wore headphones so he could listen to the broadcast of the game on the radio. Also, it was freezing out. WTF? I don’t know why they even invited me or even why my aunt went at all, she didn’t seem to enjoy herself, either. No wonder I turned out not so great. Shittiest football experience ever, and my drunk friend got himself kicked out of a game once before halftime and I had to go find and fetch him. At least I was with a friend for that one LOL
