I could go on, but I am convinced the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this education field is abysmal because of the admin teachers. I would love a Silicon Valley type who was willing to ask why we’re doing something one way instead of insisting that “this is how it’s always done”. Tech came to education, moving fast and breaking things. Entire buildings of teachers were fired for pushing back. Districts used to be run by superintendents and not CEOs. People in public schools did not listen to a TED talk. Most of my colleagues retired early or quit if they could during the beginning of the Bill Gates, common core, NCLB, Rhee nightmare years. Tech came for the publics’ schools and parents rolled over and gave them up. My district got a new superintendent. In the final round they had one local person who had experience working with unions. The other candidate was from Tennessee and no experience with unions. The district choose the local person citing the union experience. To me this had me concerned because it means that the district knew they wanted a union person, but somehow the Tennessee woman was still in the final two? Feels like a set up to justify picking the person they wanted the whole time. So hopefully it isn’t just another insider doing what the district wants. My wife and I were watching. This is my 18th year as an educator. She saw his age and job and turned to me and asked how it was even possible.
Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt: Embrace Your Uniqueness
I automatically assumed he was at some small ass christian private school. I knew there was no way he was hired at a public school as the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this main principal at that age. Asst principal..maybe, but Ive never seen a head principal younger than 30 and thats pushing it. Honestly everyone on this season seems super sketchy. Every time I open up TikTok I see a video exposing yet another cast member I had a 26 year old assistant principal. He was the worst. Gave idiotic feedback on observations (because he had never worked a day in the classroom) and he talked down to teachers all the time. “Theres no other job where you can just decide you don’t want to do certain things” I think it was about teachers not having time to call home for lunch detentions. As if he wasn’t blowing off things he was expected to do. Absolutely fucking idiotic to have these kids with no experience be our bosses. Then he called a kid a slur so he got transferred to another school… I’d agree that classroom experience is important, but only because becoming a principal tends to mark the end of one’s classroom experience. If admin still taught a class or two every once in a while (which my admin does), I’m fine with less accumulated experience.
In my country/district high school principals can still have 1 or 2 classes most choose not to even when the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this bonus for that is quite important, those are usually the worst principals since they are way too disconnected from the classroom reality Earlier in my career a teacher I knew applied for Vice Principal in his second year of teaching. He applied again in his third and then again in his fourth. He actually got the position and in his fifth year was a Vice Principal. His dad was a Principal in our school system and he knew all the right things to say in his interview. In fact he openly stated that since his dad was a principal he knew more than experienced teachers he was working with. He was not much good at the job however. How can someone with 4 year’s experience give advice on the complicated things that occur in a school setting? I am all for younger teachers looking at going into admin if that’s your thing, but you need to have done the job for a while first and at least have experienced more than one school. Plus my school division was known for being nepotism central back then. It was a bad move all around.

How I can buy this Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt
Yep, the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this key is that schools are complicated. I don’t mind that admin must ask me a lot about messy situations, that’s part of my job as the social worker, but someone without much school experience won’t be able to provide enough guidance to staff and won’t know what they don’t know, especially if they were a Gen Ed teacher only for a few years. There is so much happening in a school and I shudder to imagine how poorly sped would go for admin like that. I’m not a teacher I just lurk here as a parent. I do follow the love is blind sub…quite actively. Some totally sane person just posted a VERY deep dive into the insane Christian charter school system he works for. Happy reading! Our entire district had to attend an all day PD on classroom management by a guy who worked as a psych researcher and never worked in a classroom. The guy was probably paid thousands and thousands to present his research to us. You can get a k12 admin degree from college-you don’t need classroom experience as a teacher first, it’s just the more traditional route for those who want to make money and stay in education. Surprising they aren’t an assistant principal-but certainly possible.
No one is saying it’s impossible just how competent of an administrator are you with 3 or less years of classroom experience? In my state you can get the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this degree but not the license needed to be an admin without xx years experience in the classroom. If you’re a principal at 24 your district has some serious issues. If you do not have at least 10 years in the classroom you have no business being an admin, and even then you should have to teach one class per year. The girl he matched with formerly a teacher. I ended up looking at her profile and she ended up making it a year but wrote about how bad the teaching conditions were and how it impacted her mental and physical health. I honestly wish they would have shown more to this side of the story. No doubt they had some interesting discussions about the education system in this country.
My Ed Leadership degree required three years of classroom experience before graduation… I started a year after my bachelors and took three years vs. two to finish. So I could have become a principal at 26, but technically could’ve been 25 if I’d have been the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this minimum requirement. I agree experience is necessary and after seven years I’ve turned down leadership opportunities because I know I’d be skeptical of someone with my amount of experience. However, if a school is desperate or if he’s just really good at what he does, it’s not impossible. This is a junk response. Calm down and take a few years. Even if you legit ARE a great teacher, doing it for three years is not the same as doing it for 20. And working in one building for that long, you learn a lot. I have a friend who’s a superintendent of a group of charter schools. Took the job at 26 with no educational experience and had never taught a day in his life. Insane
When I taught at one charter school in particular, both principal and AP were in their late twenties or early thirties. They were the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this same ladies who told me to “pretend to call the cops” on a student in my class who was stealing from the classroom (who also happened to be a little black girl.) I am so mortified that that was the advice given, and that I listened, and no… it didn’t work. We do stupid shit like this and wonder why schools are failing our students. Same thing that i said! I noticed it immediately!“Well, some researchers were once conducting such an experiment, but when they opened up the box, the cat was neither alive nor dead but was in fact completely missing, and they called me in to investigate. I was able to deduce that nothing very dramatic had happened. The cat had merely got fed up with being repeatedly locked up in a box and occasionally gassed and had taken the first opportunity to hoof it through the window. It was for me the work of a moment to set a saucer of milk by the window and call ‘Bernice’ in an enticing voice — the cat’s name was Bernice, you understand—“
‘Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.’ That’s from the original novel. There were two adaptations into TV shows, though the BBC America one has almost no relation to the novels, other than the title and titular character. I was sitting on my front porch one day just chilling…l happened to start thinking about an old gf’s tuxedo cat that I really liked…a few moments after thinking about that cat, a completely identical tux cat literally materialized from out of nowhere and stepped out from behind the only super skinny tree that was in the yard. I would have seen this cat approaching long before reaching the tree, there is no way it could have got there without me seeing it. This was out in a rural area. I manifested a cat That is very true, and by some small chance the cat doesn’t know how to properly handle such dimensional power. The cat may by some very small chance inadvertently create a black hole taking all forms of life with it.
Not to mention if you keep a cat in the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this vicinity of the box you can assume the cat will eventually be in the box Its not hard to grasp once you realize that we are each experiencing the infinite fractals of all possibilities every moment. It’s sad that people don’t understand that more, or how important such thought experiments have been particularly to the field of theoretical physics. Einstein’s theory of relativity emerged as a means of reconciling problems he had with his own thought experiments, which are actually particularly fascinating and incredibly intuitive. It’s that kind of critical thinking we need to foster in our youth…and adults. IKR, but with the posts title 300 characters limit you have to leave some info out – I already was doing things like replacing words like “demonstrate” with “show” and ended up with a 299 characters title ^^ An important outcome of this thought experiment is that it very effectively challenges our concept of the fundamental nature of reality. Just thinking of everything as a wave does the trick. Yeah, quantum particles behave strangely because waves behave strangely! But what I was saying is that the cat is not a good metaphor. Taking wave mechanics (usually a first year class) removes a lot of the mystery about how quantum particles behave because quantum particles are essentially waves.
Except it doesn’t really because the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this mystery of quantum mechanics is that these waves seem to be waves of probability amplitudes, not actual waves Not a physicist, but I do have trust issues so I google claims. The 2012 Nobel prize in physics went to a couple people who … Both Nobel Laureates of 2012 have been able to map the quantum cat-state when it encounters outside world. They have devised creative experiments and managed to show in great detail how the act of measuring actually causes the quantum state to collapse and loose its superposition character. Instead of Schrödinger’s cat, Haroche and Wineland trap quantum particles and put them in cat-like superposition states. These quantum objects are not really macroscopic as a cat, but they are still quite large by quantum standards. Entanglement of the microwave field and Rydberg atoms allowed Haroche to map the life and death of the cat-like state inside his cavity, following it step by step, atom by atom, as it underwent a transition from the quantum superposition of states to a well defined state of classical physics.
Instead of Schrödinger’s cat, Haroche and Wineland trap quantum particles and put them in cat-like superposition states. These quantum objects are not really macroscopic as a cat I think the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this misrepresentation is thinking that this applies to actual macro-scale objects and not just to quantum objects. Schrödinger wasn’t saying that it’s ridiculous on a quantum scale, but that it would be ridiculous to apply it to cats or other large objects. The point here is that the quantum particles used are NOT on a “quantum scale” but were large enough so that the collapse of the wave function could be observed step by step in different atoms. At this point, there isn’t a difference between a cat and a large particle. If the concept applies to a large particle then it also has to apply to a cat.
I’m a researcher in theoretical physics. The key here is that, for a system to act quantum mechanically and not classically, it has to be “informationally isolated”. So, not only does it have to be hidden from the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this observer (you), but also any other possible observer, like air molecules, photons, or anything else that would interact with it and then be able to be measured later to gather information about the original system. This is common for particles, atoms, molecules, etc, but nearly impossible for macroscopic objects. They believe that quantum objects exist in superposition, somewhere between the quantum and the classical we get the reality we observe where things are only in one place at a time
Schrödinger used it as a thought experiment to express how quantum superposition was a silly idea. He did not accept the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this idea of superpositions at first. He would later admit that he was wrong and that the cat example should have never been used, but at that point it was already out of the bag. Maybe not cats, as cats are alive. But superposition comes from the double slit experiment, and the double slit experiment has worked with molecules that contained as many as 2000 atoms. Scientists think they can go bigger, it just gets harder to test each time. Superposition does not “come from the double slit experiment”. If you have no idea what you’re talking about, don’t use sentences that sound like statements of fact.
I have read different things about this. One says that an “observer,” in this case you looking in the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this box, is misleading and that an observer more accurately means “interaction.” Another thing I read was that the cat is not alive and dead it is in a superposition which is actually a third state. You could say it is alive+dead=superposition just as 2+2=4 and just like 2+2 is an operation which produces 4, alive+dead is an operation which produces superposition. If what I’ve written isn’t too stupid to respond to I’d love some clarification. It’s still a thought experiment and not reality. If you say that everything you don’t interact with is in a state of superposition and probabilities only collapse when you interact with something, it means the world outside your view doesn’t exist.
What you wrote is exactly what I was getting at. I wasn’t simply using the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this word “interaction” to promote the idea that us interacting with something is what collapses the superposition. I meant interaction as one particle interacting with another or a force acting on something else. I mean isnt that the whole problem this thought experiment is based on? That somehow the act of observation is an interaction Could observing something be an interaction, depending on what is being used to observe and the means to produce the observable information? We observe things with our eyes based on the result of light bouncing off of something and reaching our eyes. If that something could change due to this input of light energy, then we can’t know what it was like for certain before the light interacted with it. I wonder if this is a case where the science points in one direction and we decide it doesn’t line up with our everyday way of seeing things and so we reject it. How do we know reality isn’t actually like that? What proof does anyone have that other people have minds separate from our own, i.e. not somehow part of the same reality? What if consciousness is an inherent part of reality, like gravity? Just play dough that combines and breaks down and recombines in different configurations. I feel like we haven’t explored these questions enough to reject the possibility that there’s a connection between witnessing and existence.
Your example for “superposition” is exactly how superposition works in theory, except instead of numbers, we’re adding vectors, which can be thought of as list of numbers that describe all of the known information about a state. So, if we have a vector describing a particle at a position “a”, and a vector describing a particle at position “b”, then we’d add the two vectors and have a particle existing at the points “a” and “b” simultaneously, which is allowed in quantum theory. However, in reality, these types of states are very fragile because any interaction with another particle (or a measurement from you) will cause the state to collapse into either “a” or “b”. This is a bit of a simplification but in essence this is how it works.
Why shouldn’t I divide a complex system into observer and observed? If I can’t , how far do I have to go out to meet a trur observer So both of what you read is sorta correct. The second point about a superposition is what the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this original thought experiment attempts to disprove. “If you had a caesium atom that when it decayed would release poison into the box with a cat, the cat cannot be both alive and dead” The thought experiment is talking about the superposition a caesium atom can be in of decayed and not decayed where it can be both at once. The thought experiment says this is impossible because of implications on macro objects. The bit about the observer is the counter argument to this thought experiment. The laser or whatever you use to detect the decay of the caesium atom is “observing” the atom therefore no superposition can happen. It’s also important to note that even if it didn’t “observe” the atom that oxygen particles hitting the cat, the sides of the box touching the cat or even the internal functions of the cat would also collapse the superposition. The whole thought experiment is based on a misconception of quantum physics. This is incorrect. Multiple objects can exist in related superpositions simultaneously. Any interaction between those objects will not collapse the wave function. Only interaction with “external” objects will. This is known as quantum entanglement, and is the basis for all of quantum computing (incidentally, actually entangling many particles to allow them to work together as superpositions of states is one of the practical difficulties of making larger scale quantum computers. You’re correct about a typical box not being a valid separator to prevent wavefunction collapse from propagating across it (quantum computing would be a lot easier if we could just use random boxes!), but the point is that if you have an isolated closed system containing the atom, an observer, a mechanism to release poison, and a cat, it is completely valid to say that those things all become quantumly entangled and exist in a superposition of states that will all collapse together (to “atom decayed, observer detected, poison released, cat dead” OR to “atom has not decayed, observer did not detect, poison did not release, cat alive”) only when this “quantum isolation box” is opened.
Nothing inside the Matt chapman American professional baseball third baseman T-Shirt But I will love this closed system (oxygen molecules, “internal functions of the cat”, or anything else) causes the wave function to collapse, only external observation. So the more basic problem is that quantum mechanics all contain unreconcilable problems to which we cannot ever know the answer. The point of the cat here is to demonstrate one of those irreconcilable aspects; superposition itself is inherently contradictory. How can something like a cat have both positions combined at the same time? How if the cat is both dead and alive, then you open the box and it’s alive. Well how as it previously dead? For that matter how does the transition from normal state to superimposition to back to normal even work? How does it operate without the need for energy or even the need to conform to the basic rules of the universe like locality or the speed limit? In a macro scale none of the qualities of superimposition make any sense, no matter how well the math works out on the quantum scale.
