Your post made me chuckle a little as it reminded me of something my great grandmother said many years ago. She was raised Catholic, was very religious, and never went to church. And she was questioned how could she keep her faith without regularly attending services… she answered (paraphrasing) “why should I have to go to church just to pray to God? I can do that right here at my kitchen table.” There was also building, like a big house I want to say, no mansion that’s for sure, that was used as a local nunnery. To me it looked like someone’s home. At best I thought it a group home or even a shelter. But nope, it was a nunnery.
