I think your sister is sweet. I’m sure it’s annoying, if you’re someone who’s bothered about having a unique “look”, but ultimately, your sister likes how your girlfriend dresses, and probably looks up to her and sees her as cool and grown up, and she’s just trying to emulate that. If I was your girlfriend, I’d take your sister out shopping and help her pick out some things that are more unique to her. There’s a chance to build friendships rather than resentment here. I had a friend exactly like this Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this and I had to cut her off. The behaviour was creepy, it didn’t stop at clothes, and after a while just got disturbing. No amount of me asking her nicely or bluntly to “stop”, made her actually stop. She actually flat out told me “No.” at one point. It’s not healthy… Maybe she (girlfriend) should cut complete contact: Stop going over yours and you guys go to her’s, find a new place to work, block her on social media. That type of behaviour is obsessive and needs to be addressed.

Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt: best trending this year

Is it possible that your sister may be on the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this autism spectrum? Mimicking and imitation are frequently observed traits in girls with autism, and they may use these behaviors as a means of ‘fitting in.’ Research has shown that many girls with autism excel at social camouflaging, which involves adapting and masking their autistic traits to better navigate social situations. Unfortunately, girls with autism often go undiagnosed because their presentation can differ from the more commonly studied patterns observed in boys. It’s essential to recognize that the existing understanding and stereotypes of autism are primarily based on male experiences, and girls may display unique traits that don’t fit these traditional expectations. Exploring the concept of social camouflaging in autism could provide valuable insights into your sister’s behavior.
Assimilation is all about trying to fit in. This is masking on a much deeper level, as it’s no longer about covering up some proclivities, but about presenting as someone you are not, so as to avoid being excluded. In assimilation, you have to force yourself to engage socially, or avoid it altogether. To the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this extent you do force yourself to engage, you basically have to put up a performance. Some autistic women reported they consciously “cloned” themselves based on a popular girl in their class whilst at school, and would imitate their conversational style, intonation, movements, dress-style, interests, and other mannerisms, in minute detail. First and foremost being a teenage girl is awful you couldn’t pay me to go back. Hormones raging, insecure, no sense of identity. It sounds like your sister really struggles to find her own place and sense of self, and is trying to imitate people she admires. It sounds like she has a hard time keeping friends so her self esteem likely isn’t great.

About Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt

I would suggest first and foremost you talk to her. Ask her how she’s doing etc as a big brother. I would then tell her she’s making your girlfriend uncomfortable and causing her issues at work. Suggest the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this two of them meet for coffee. And then your girlfriend needs to be honest that this is upsetting her etc. Then your girlfriend could suggest they go shopping together. Pick out things your sister likes, pick out things she is drawn to. Create a moodboard, you as big brother just offer support. Alternatively, your gf could tell your sister that she finds her outfits online using certain social media influencers and you could then direct your sister to these Influencers. Your sister would then have a steady stream of new outfit choices that come from fashionable people that aren’t your gf. That way your sister will also have mountains of inspiration for new outfits that aren’t your gfs. Given the context provided in your comments, this sounds like a maladaptive pattern of behaviour, and although I get why your partner says you shouldn’t get involved, I think your sister and gf need you in this.
Now I dont know why she does this- this behaviour was set off by something (e.g. stress, maybe life events, changes in relationships etc) and your sister does this in response. The issue will come when your sister doesn’t stop, and if she’s done this before without changing her behaviour, she might not change even if confronted by your gf. This is where you need to come in because your gf would get creeped out, be tense with her, and it’ll lead to issues with you. I would be blunt if your sibling relationship if like mine; after all, you’re her brother and are one of the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this few who can tell it to her straight. She’s self-sabotaging herself and her relationships – it’s creepy, it doesn’t make people like her but pushes them away, and she won’t actually be able to connect with anybody if all she can be is a mirror. She might need to look for some help with her GP if it’s related to mental health. Mimicry, difficulties in romantic relationships, and inability to maintain long-term lasting relationships (friend or otherwise) are quite common in BPD, although it could be a neurodivergency. If it is related to one of these, she may need a lot of support to get the right resources and help. It can be difficult, esp with NHS cuts and referral waiting lists.
You really need to firstly get your sister to stop this immediately, and secondly get her help to address the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this issue behind this. The traditional solution to this on Reddit is for your GF to pretend to shave her head through a social media post and wait for the copycat to actually do it. In real life, this just sounds like a case of hero worship of an older, presumably cooler, person. I think it will disappear in time but maybe have a little chat and suggest your sister stops as people are commenting. She should also learn to be less bothered by it. If she’s a bit of a fashion type with a distinct style then she will get copied. Easy fix. Out spend her. Go to high end shops expensive brands, if she is still keeping up start getting stuff hand made in Paris. I’m sure she will run out of money before you do.
Would your partner be willing to take your sister out clothes shopping to get her some outfits that your partner doesn’t have? It could help your sister to get some things that are specifically hers and that she loves. It would be a win for your partner as your sister would be getting some outfits that are completely different. It’s certainly better to be empathetic about this, because she’s clearly asking for help, maybe in the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this only way she knows. As a guy, why on earth are you concerning yourself with such matters? Dude, life is complicated enough. Stop getting involved and doing your head in with matters like this Tell em to sort it out amongst themselves as I’m sure you have many more important things to concern yourself with It might be unethical slightly but maybe if she has a different ‘body shape’ to your gf you can say that the clothes she’s wearing don’t suit her or don’t look good on her, even if they kind of do.
Hold on, is this not a copy and paste of an older reddit post about this exact thing or does it happen more often than I think? Does your sister have a spectrum disorder? Girls tend to go unnoticed much more because they are better at social mirroring. Or potentially actual mirroring here? She’s 19 and working so possibly out of education with no direct peers to copy anymore? Closest connection to continue the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this cycle of behaviour would be your partner. And they both work in the same office… How did that come about? See if your Gf can take her shopping and try to find her own style. You could even help her out with some money to get her started with a few things I seriously fail to understand why this is such a big deal or embarrassing for girl. Shouldn’t the OP’s GF be happy that someone is thinking of her as a trendsetter and looking upto her for fashion choices? For guys at least we couldn’t care less about what our friends are wearing. We have often ended up wearing the same coloured shirts or even borrowed our friend’s clothes to wear to classes while at Uni and even now at work there are days when several guys at the office end up wearing the same shirt. No one bats an eye. Coming to OP’s sister, she definitely seems to be having a hard time sticking on to a personality/identity of her own. Maybe something to do with her confidence in her own choices. Encouraging her to find her own style maybe with the help of the OP’s GF maybe the solution.
In order to know if you will get long term mileage out of clothing, even forever 21 cheap clothing, is to focus on the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this material, construction and following the washing instructions. There’s a lady on tik tok, Jennifer wang, and she makes videos about clothes from more expensive stores, breaking down the composition of the material and construction of pieces. I highly recommend checking her out. But overall, I think if you launder stuff correctly they should hold up no problem. There was a post in a certain brand’s sub the other week about an item falling apart “despite taking care of if” and they were so disappointed. They even complained to the company about it and were felt like they didn’t offer enough compensation for a “faulty” garment. All of the comments were like weird, never happened to me that garment is fine. Then the OP finally commented and admitted they were washing on the regular cycle even though the garment tag said hand wash. Like I’ll admit – I don’t always have the time or energy to hand wash but I do own a couple very, very fine mesh garment wash bags that I will tuck into a load of sheets or blankets on a gentle cycle then hang to dry. This has never not worked for me, but I still understand the risks.
I think this might be the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this case with so many people saying everything is so cheap these days (which yes quality is down) but how come almost none of my cheaper pieces have fallen apart or got ruined? I have lots of fast fashion pieces from 2 to 5 years ago, and 95% of them still look relatively new or in great condition thanks to washing them properly. I mean I’m with you – I have a dress from Forever 21 I bought in college 15 years ago that has nothing wrong with it. I think it depends on the quality of materials in combination with how you treat your clothing, just like you said. I have had a handful of things fall apart despite taking care of them but the majority are a-okay. Honestly for me the main place I see this is t-shirts. Lots of other inexpensive things hold up fine (still wearing some old navy leggings that are six years old) but I definitely get fewer wears out of t-shirts these days. I do all of the care things recommended above too, which I used to not do and they held up fine with less care. I mean I definitely just toss things that are “hand wash only” in regular cycles, but at that point, I’m just accepting the risk and that whatever happens, it’s my fault.
That last point is so so important. Laundry is not as laborious as it once was but you cannot just throw stuff in the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this washing machine and the dryer without thinking about it. I’ve already seen people mention using mesh bags, water temperature, spin speed, etc but there is more to it. Know how hard the water is in your area, use washing soda, out things in a pre-soak, and put your machine through a cleaning cycle at least once a year. Also avoid the dryer as much as possible, it does so much damage. I think detergent is also a factor. I religiously use enzyme free on anything with wool. Most enzymes in detergents will slowly break down the proteins in wool. But most detergents have these enzymes.
I’m convinced that most of FFA washes their clothes along with their rock collection, in industrial washers, on hot. I have good luck (including with fast fashion!) washing most clothes in cold water and letting them air dry. Use a depiller. When in doubt, follow the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this clothing care instructions on the tag, especially for cashmere since it requires more intentional care. None of the things you describe constitute as “falling apart” and it’s always odd that “falling apart” has become the FFA colloquialism to describe “general signs of wash and wear” instead of “unraveling / becoming threadbare / susceptible to holes” All of the brands you listed are a significant step above the type of clothing people tend to refer to as “cheap fashion” (ex: Shein, F21, the usual fast fashion offenders), both pricewise and qualitywise. While J Crew / Anthro / etc. still can be hit-or-miss, they still tend to be much better quality on average than the aforementioned fast fashion offenders. While the quality of these brands has admittedly dropped some over the years, you’ll still usually be fine with these brands for much longer than a season as long as you’re not washing them with your rock collection (see point A). If you’re really not happy with the quality you’re finding in their stores, they’re easy brands to find secondhand older pieces, including pre-recession pieces which are usually genuinely great.
Except for Sezane, the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this brands you list have storefronts in your average American mall. Shop in store whenever possible so you can touch, try on, and visually inspect what you’re buying before you take it home. I have 15 year old clothes that don’t look appreciably different from when I purchased them. These are mall or fast fashion brands. Most items I wear at least 1-2x per week per season. A lot I wear year round. Except yoga pants where my legs rub. And jog bras. But those last a long ass time too if you hang them up to dry. Edit to add: I destroy t shirts due to food and cleaner stains. I rarely pay more than $5-10 per t shirt as a result. I buy 10 dollar Cotton On tees and all they do is get faded and a bit more shapeless. The cut (against the fabric) and stitching are poor and the longevity isn’t great, but once they’re worn out I wear them to sleep. They’re real cotton and it’s soft af The first point really grinds my gears about this sub!!! Honestly most of my clothes are from H&M/Zara and tbh they all definitely last well beyond a season, some pieces I’ve been wearing for years and I get bored of them before they start showing signs of wear such that I wouldn’t wear them anymore. Like you, I wash on cold ONLY and always air dry and have never ever had issues with my clothing. Genuine question from someone with limited space — where are y’all air drying your clothes? I have a large drying rack and even that can only hold a few items at a time. I’ve tried air drying, but there’s just not enough room and things take a long time to dry in the cold of winter
My drying rack can’t fit much either. So now I use the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this dryer on air dry. Only thing is cause the air isn’t heated, you have to double drying time. But anything I used to air dry on the rack I throw in the dryer on that setting and it comes out soft and not stiff too My mom hangs stuff on the shower curtain rod. Not the most convenient but good if you don’t have a lot of space. Also, those things you can put over doors for hangers (like one of these) can work too. I’ve learned from our local power company that throwing in a dry towel or two while drying clothes in the dryer actually helps with faster drying! I think it has something to do with distributing moisture. I do that when I remember and it’s not bad I line dry and use racks inside and outside. (When I lived in a house with heating vents in the floor, I would set a rack over them to dry the clothes faster.) In my old place I set up a tension rod in a nook and dried clothing on hangers. Sheets and comforters I threw over doors if I couldn’t line dry.
True true. Most dresses I bought for FF have lasted me few years with normal wear and tear. I still wear some of them after altering the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this sizes and tightening up some seams (some seams are badly put – you gotta admit). Except jeans though – H&M jeans are the worst – they actually rip from the middle after one year (this happened too many times), so now I bought one expensive jeans for 120 euros (tommy hilfiger) and that lasted me 5 years now. I don’t even take care of them and I have a few pieces of H&M clothing from when I worked there at 16, I am 31 now. All the pieces that held up are basics or the ones with the cream tag (I forget what the section is called). Also kind of related because I’ve seen people mention how the clothing is made. When I started working at H&M they made me watch a bunch of videos about how they totally don’t use sweatshops, there were interviews with the factory workers talking about how awesome their jobs are. ? a lovely work of fiction Also I frequently thrift Madewell, Anthro, and J. Crew, and even gently used secondhand items have lasted me several years. They’re midtier, not really fast fashion.
To really see the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this quality difference, buy a basic black cotton crewneck from both Old Navy and Gap. The Old Navy one is going to be coarse, won’t soften with the wash, and may have uneven stitching. The Gap tee will be noticeably softer and will hold up with wear. I have a few Banana Republic black tees I bought nearly a decade ago and I wear them nearly weekly and they’re only now just getting threadbare enough to replace them. But I also separate my laundry, wash my soft clothes (no denim, towels, or zippers) on cold water and hang dry my clothes. And I never ever use fabric softener – not only because I think it degrades clothes faster, but also, it increases the flammability of your fabrics.
I have old navy and gap tees and they hold up exactly the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this same for me. Some of my old navy shirts are men’s, some are the “luxe” fabric, and some are 100% cotton (more coarse). They’ve been purchased over time over the last ~10 years. Only my oldest tees have any signs of wear (pilling). I wash everything on cold, normal cycle. And dry on low or extra low. Unscented detergent, no fabric softener or anything else. I truly don’t get what I’m doing differently compared to people who have serious quality problems with old navy stuff. Fast fashion isn’t about the quality of clothing or cost, it’s about if it’s a fast cycle of fashion made (most often) by slave labour or poor working conditions. Often companies keep intentional differences in the quality of sewing to distinguish between their more expensive and more affordable brands (ex. The gap, old navy). If there’s a typical storefront it’s probably still fast fashion. To not be fast fashion the brand would need a slower fashion cycle and be made under ethical conditions (ex. handmade in Canada, Province of Canada might be a good example; brands like Reformation are more like fast fashion because of their fashion cycle though their working conditions are in theory better). Yes don’t wash clothes you want to keep looking nice with denim or jackets or anything with big metal zippers/buttons/snaps, and put those “keep nice” items in small mesh delicates bags when washing. Mesh bags really make a difference over time! Wash cold and either hang or lay flat to air dry. For wool and silk, always use a detergent specially formulated for those kinds of fabrics, and a tiny bit will do. Those fabrics are proteins, so they need specific detergents if you want them to stay soft/looking as they should.
Also, separate the Louie Outer Stuff St Louis Blues Let’s Get It Started funny Shirt What’s more,I will buy this wash by colour. Not just whites and not whites, but all the reds and pinks together, all the greens together, etc. so you don’t end up with everything being a greyed out version of its former glory. How many washes would it take for an item to start losing its original color? I often buy clothing in pairs if I like it enough, and after washing one weekly (cold delicate cycle, hang dry) for 2-3 years, I don’t really find that the washed piece of clothing looks different in color compared to its unworn, unwashed twin. I wash all my colors together and only separate whites. Maybe the quality of the clothing might play a role? I have a specific pair of black jeans from Gloria Vanderbilt that I have to re-dye every year since it fades so quickly. Color catching sheets are magic! Totally recommend. They are cheap and really effective. I just put one or two of them every time, and in the half of the cases they come out from washing stained.
