JFK beat Nixon in the Like A Compass Needle Needin’ It’s True North Bull Skull Flower T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this race for presidency bc he was more good looking. No seriously, the race was extremely close, but it was the first time that debates were televised, and many people voted for JFK bc he was more good looking and Nixon looked like shit. Take any Ws you can take especially in this job market. It’s one of those things, bro. In countries outside of the US, you’re expected to have a headshot stapled to your CV for jobs you apply to. Is it fair? Absolutely not. But it’s less fair for someone to get a job bc their mommy or daddy is a stakeholder or something like that. At least it’s an even playing field in your situation. I mean getting a good job is hard enough so congrats? Life isn’t fair and better looking people tend to have certain advantages in life. If it really bothers you that much then you can always leave. As a male if I liked the job I would be staying. You got your foot in the door for not a good reason, now you can keep your foot in the door for a good reason. You could make the most of this opportunity and be a good employee. When people tell me I was hired for whatever superficial reason, I find it is easier to ignore them when I know how hard I work and how well I do it – I set the bar high.

Honestly if you’re good looking enough to be hired for a job you have 0 experience for AND they didn’t even interview you, there are probably things you can do to make way more money than an in-store technician. With that said though, yeah pretty privilege exists and you’re probably going to be “lucky” enough to experience that through much of your life. Honestly I’m not sure what you can do to give back to us average folks, but there’s no need to punish yourself by quitting and giving someone else a chance. Just don’t be a dick about being good looking and be a good person and I don’t think anyone will fault you for being blessed The job I’m at loves guys that look like they workout, I’ve wondered if they’d have hired me if I was skinnier. Yeah unfortunately bias towards attractive people is very much a thing. It’s been on my mind lately – I’m a 33/m and my hairline is starting to recede. Of course I’m worried about it effecting my dating life which is understandable, but I’m also worried about it effecting my business career prospects which is totally unfair. It’s just an unfortunate bit of human nature that most of us are guilty of to some degree – people generally want to associate with attractive folks and want to avoid unattractive ones. IMO it’s like some kind of subconscious defense of our standing within the Like A Compass Needle Needin’ It’s True North Bull Skull Flower T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this social hierarchy.
