The brown tabby I grew up with is the sweetest cat I’ve ever known, we used to have a morning ritual in the mornings before school where I’d pet and play with her. She’s in her upper teens now and I go home to visit in April, from what my mom’s told me, it very well might be the last time I see her. Sammy’s such a good girl. We had some colorful cats but the one all our neighbor’s loved was the grey (brown?) tabby who had complex neuroses about random things but was fearless with people and wanted to befriend the world.

I’ve had two brown cats. Brown is best! My guys are handsome dudes who are super affectionate and also being independent. I went looking for a black cat, but he looked so sad in his cage and the volunteer told me he had been there a year and a half. In March, it’ll be 5 years and he is the most loving kitty ever. Is he also a talkative little bugger like my tabby brothers are? Not being pet? We have rescue mackerel tabbies too! The first one is my best friend in the world. He comes to bed in the evenings and sleeps by me every night. Melts my heart.
