Many places, but especially countries of similar wealth/living standards. Canada, UK, Netherlands, Germany, etc. I.e., places that Americans go to work. Not places that Americans move to because they perceive it as cheap, and the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this locals see them as simply making their local housing market unaffordable. I talk to a lot of vendors from the UK and Germany. I find it hilarious they get infuriated at Americans for being too polite. I keep trying to figure out how that’s a bad thing Comment Image In my experience, Americans tend to beat around the bush a lot, which can be frustrating for us Europeans. I’d rather you tell me “no” instead of “sure, if that’s what you want, but maybe we could also consider…”
Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt details
I am American and have had the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this same experience with British people being indirect. Sorta funny to hear the opposite Oh, the Brits do that too, even if they deny it! They just know the “hidden” meaning behind their phrases and they don’t know the meaning behind the American ones, I suppose. Germans, on the other hand, are usually really straight forward, they are my favorite type of “foreigner” to deal with because of that. Ha, I have seen the German and Austrian directness. It’s refreshing for logistical issues though still jarring for more social commentary like “why are you fat”, or “how come you married an ugly man” type of questions. I lived in Germany for a year and I always heard that Germans don’t like small talk. Which I found to be absolutely false since I’ve talked to so many Germans who liked small talk. I had a coworker over there ask to get coffee and he talked to me for like 2 hours lol I spent three years in Germany, one in Portugal and like six months in the UK, it was only after I took a class called “Tolerating Cultural Differences” (lol) that it all started to make sense As a general rule, Americans don’t like saying or hearing “no” or being perceived as having a negative answer or view. You can even see it in out politics: people don’t call themselves anti abortion or anti gun, it’s pro life (or choice) and pro gun control (or second ammendment) I think it’s more about how we enjoy straight forwardness instead of overly polite behavior because the latter can come across as insincere.
Honestly this really depends where Americans are from. Midwesterners do this a lot. I am from the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this west coast and work in the Midwest occasionally and have been corrected for being hostile when I am asking direct questions. My friends from the UK while visiting America used to make fun of American waitresses for saying “have a nice day”. They thought it was so fake and hilarious. They just didn’t get that American’s are generally nice and polite, especially in a service industry. I say “hope you have a good rest of your day” all the time, because I do. It doesnt cost me anything to send them some good will, and maybe they’re having a bad day and they will appreciate it. I say please and thank you and “have a good day” to nearly every stranger I interact with at a cash register or in any service industry regardless of tips. I am appreciative of their help and I do hope their day is good.

Some people prefer others to be more straightforward. Saves a lot of time and guessing. I know that Asians tend to be more evasive as well, you’ll never get a straight answer about what’s wrong. And sometimes I think about how weird it is, Americans and Asians are culturally very far apart but they still share this trait. Some people see it as politeness, others as hypocrisy. UK people seem rather American hostile on here. Really, most Europeans do. I get the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this lifestyle is the best match, but… As a Brit I don’t know anyone who dislikes Americans here. I think the hostility online is mainly just people on the internet being assholes and jokes which get taken too far sometimes. A lot of internet brits and Americans seem to hate each other but I have always got on well with them irl. The hostility is the result of refusing to integrate. I’ve never met a single American who learned the language of the country he immigrated to or who adapted to the local mannerisms. And I used to work with plenty of Americans in the past. But Brits aren’t any better.
I live in Mexico. I taught myself Spanish. I am married to a Mexican, and I am respectful of the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this people and their culture. I don’t act like an asshole to anyone. Now you know one. Who are all these Americans you met that emigrated to other countries? I literally know ONE. Who moved to Costa Rica and knows Spanish. Right now there are about 100,000 Americans living in here in Calgary, so about 7% of our population. Most have learned our language reasonably well, although an occasional “y’all” still slips out I live in a “cheap” country. But I don’t expect to make the same money I would in the United States, and I don’t expect to have the same housing as the United States either. This is my method to not raise housing prices in the area. Also my boyfriend is from here so I chose here to be with him.
I’m Irish American, I know they hate that. lol Yes, I would love to move there someday. At least for a little while. I understand their frustration with the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this “plastic Paddy’s” that won’t shut up about their great grandmothers’ cousin who lived in Belfast or who partake in borderline offensive “traditions” every March 17, but they gotta lighten up about Americans who retain acknowledgement of their immigrant roots/recognize “American” doesn’t inherently imply white English speaking people who like cheeseburgers (just ask the Ojibwe or Navajo). I think the real thing isn’t that americans recognize their ancestors, its that americans talk about being XYZ as if their direct parents are or they were born there. As an american I realized how actually weird this is only after travelling lol. Every country has their oddities, and its rather harmless in the grand scheme of things. But if you recognize the difference between an ancestor and your immediate family/you for heritage thats the part that gets twisted. This. My wife is first generation Polish and calls people with Polish ancestry around here (but far removed) that are all full of Polish pride “fauxlacks” instead of Polacks.
as an american that is genuinely close polish ancestry ((grandparents fully polish, parent first generation american, know my family and cousins in poland)) this makes me laugh haha, its so accurate. Eh, my father’s folks are from C. Cork, my Mother’s in Bellfast. I’m 2nd gen American and… I’d move back if I could (I actually LIKE my Irish family and don’t have any blood relatives that aren’t Irish, and am in contact with them after having lived there on and off for 6 years in my early teens through my 20s, unlike my American family). I think it’s more about how much of a show you make of it. I’m “Irish American” but I just call myself American because I was born here and live here, even though I grew up in Europe as much as I did here (Army Brat, 53yo. Been all over the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this EU). Just another bit of odd? Dad’s folk? Catholic. Mom’s? Protestant. Don’t know how they were together for the 2 years they were, but… I’m here as proof, so they managed it somehow. lol
nah, what you are is not what we are tlaking about, I am also second gen american actually knowing my family in the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this other country etc. we are talking about people who are proudly irish or chinese or whatever when they have never even met a living person from there– family or otherwise– and don’t even confidently know where it is on the map. Having pride in that situation isn’t bad but it is genuinely weird to treat it the same as first or second gen or even actually from there (which many do). Sadly I’m literally Irish American. Parents from both countries, and I lived and grew up in both countries, in fact much more in Ireland. The Irish seem to want me to call myself just ‘American’ still… The Americans are happy with any description. But they hate them, you always see in Mexico subs how they complain about gentrification and being displaced from their homes they’ve lived in for years.
The americans going to Mexico are richer than mexicans, the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this mexicans going to the USA are poorer than averege americans Reddit isn’t the real world. I travel to Mexico all the time and most people don’t care about Americans and Canadians living down there. I mean, there’s an estimated 1.6 million Americans living down there. I don’t see many of them in a hurry to come back. Most countries you have to have certain qualifications to move there. What you do for work, businesses, economic stability etc. They just don’t let anyone who wants to move come across the border to stay A reasonable, well-mannered American or a pushy, loud, entitled American? Also, how many Americans are we talking about?
Most people are willing to accept you if you’re polite, try to speak their language, and make a reasonable effort to integrate or at least coexist with their culture… even if they don’t really like the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this country you’re from. I’m an American but damn are most Americans too fucking loud. I wish people would be more courteous and quiet. I know in Japan it’s considered wildly rude to talk on the phone on the train and in a lot of other public places. Here, one of my coworkers seems to call every day about some complaint he has to some poor customer service agent, and he doesn’t leave his cubicle to do it, so we all have to hear this rude fuck berate innocent customer service workers. And then there’s some women in my office who laugh so loudly almost every day that I have to pause the music I’m listening to with headphones because I literally can’t hear it properly over their cackling. Aaand you don’t need to leave the country to experience this, ha. Trying to have a nice peaceful lunch in a restaurant yesterday while 2 small groups of men loudly discussed sports, women, and cars. The holy trinity. Crass, loud, annoying as fuck. I quickly finished and left.
Canadians are quite accepting of Americans. We can eat apple pie and watch baseball and football together. You can even bring a gun if you register it.) I remember a road trip to Toronto was my first international travel experience. I remember being so underwhelmed, lol. Not anything bad, but as a Midwesterner I was like, Los Angeles and New York seemed more foreign to me than Toronto. If not for the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this kilometers vs miles. It felt just like being in some other mid western state. However, i was reminded about the difference when we came back and went through the US border crossing. The US border guys were total dick bags Whenever an American walks up to me at work I’m like “yay, someone who speaks good English” and then they ask for Cilantro or Cantaloupe and my head goes into a spin. Just kidding, you guys are welcome in Australia just remember Cilantro = Coriander and Cantaloupe = Rockmelon.
I think most European countries would accept you as long as you aren’t the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this stereotypical loud nationalistic antivaxer kind of American, if people start to know you as a normal person they won’t really care that you’re American I think pretty much anywhere as long as you’re polite/work with the culture and speak well. I’ve been all over Europe and Asia and never faced any discrimination. Assuming they’re not the classic, stereotypical and loud US citizen, I think no one would mind. I have one living in the apartment just above mine and although he can’t really bring himself to learn the language, he tries really hard and I appreciate that. What I cannot stand is someone not even trying and expecting you to speak English all the time. I get that a language can be difficult to learn, but usually people from the US aren’t exactly forced to move, so if they chose this life they have to deal with the language problem. I’m trying to learn Italian as a native English speaker and it’s the verbs that are holding me back (also direct/indirect object pronouns before verbs is confusing to me). And everyone talks so fast. I think I’ll be able to read a novel before I can hold a conversation, lol.
yeah our language is one hell of a problem even for some natives, but if you need some help we’ll be happy to assist you! Most people don’t try to learn it so we are ultra happy when someone does France but be polite and don’t act entitled. It’s a very “we” culture. The common good dominates. Oh, and they practice climate consciousness for real, not the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this instagram version found all too often in the US. The negative world view of Americans is usually driven by the actions of more conservative, uneducated, or deeply religious Americans. Honestly, nowhere. I’m an American abroad, we aren’t well liked and I’m constantly having to make up for it and show I’m not like the stereotype. What? I’ve lived in Europe twice. Most people are very polite and interested in Americans. If you are one of those “America really sucks” people I guess you see what you want to see. If you are trying to be extra nice to make up for being American, that might be why you aren’t well-liked. Being too nice is strongly frowned upon in large parts of Europe. I used to go as a kid. Then I went this year. Completely different country, Americanized. All products made in China. I do like the food, people, and scenery. I think any Nordic country, at least. And you wouldn’t even have to learn the local language, though of course if you want to move to a country permanently, that’s highly recommended.
Though it has to be said, especially Finnish is kinda hard, and hard especially for English speakers to get started with it, because most people will just switch to English, rather try to speak slow and clear Finnish and repeat themselves continuously… Still worth it, just takes some extra persistence. So, if you aren’t super keen on learning the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this local language ASAP, I might mildly recommend Finland over other Nordic countries, because I think there is less expectation for you to learn the language, and more respect if you do. Oh language? No idea. But I lived in uk for awhile right outside Manchester to be exact. And around that area for awhile. I grew up in Chicago in middle school moved out there for a couple years cause of my dad’s work I had no problems especially at that age I was lucky. As an adult I moved back for another couple years and again everyone was so accepting. They also loved my accent so I had no issues. I was in a rural town and it was rare they met people from America. Def worth it and def met some of the most amazing people.
North Korea – they’d love to show off American exceptionalism. Mordor – they’re always looking for a new hobbit. 19h agoGrowing up in a tier 2 town, I’d often read about Bangalore’s great pub culture in random lifestyle magazines and Sunday supplements. When I moved here for work(2010), it was like I’d set foot on the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this stairway to heaven. I would head off to either Purple Haze or Jimi’s every other evening. Wednesdays were reserved for Karaoke at Legends of Rock. Weekends at Hard Rock Cafe or Le Rock. In between , I attended Metallica’s concert in Bangalore. It was crazy to see so many people who shared the same passion for this beautiful madness. Even regular pubs would mostly play rock. Also, it’s not about the music as much as the vibe. Crowds who would sing along. Who knew the music and could almost predict the song order. I actually made some pub friends. These were regulars I had no contact with outside but would always see and vibe with when in the pub. Then I moved away for a few years and returned and everything seemed changed. LoR had closed down. As had Purple Haze. Jimi’s is a shadow of its former shelf. Only HRC remains decent. Every club plays mostly techno/EDM.
What happened? On the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this same note, if there are places which still have the same vibe/music, where I can load up on guns and bring my friends, I’d appreciate it much.I said nothing. You heard nothing. Edit: Okay, if we were talking about Indiranagar ONLY, I hate that Humming Tree, BFlat, Blistering Barnacles and Take 5 are gone. I mean, Toit is nice and all, but these were better and infinitely more charming. I seriously cannot stand the sheer amount of Bollywood music that EVERY single pub/club plays, like literally play anything else I’m begging u Destroyed by northies with their fixation to Bollywood and punjabi songs, so much that even the locals started demanding kannada songs to counter. That rock culture is long gone man
Le rock has a few dozen of regulars for karaoke nights. We all came here at some point for engineering. Few went away few remained now almost the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this whole family is back.and a few more additions. Bars gone to shit though. Times change and so do people’s musical preferences. Similar thing happened with Shillong, it used to be the rock capital of India. Now, look at it. Probably kids listening to K-pop and techno did that. Can’t do anything about it. I am sure the generation before us said the same thing, humare zamane mein kishore kumar and all that jazz. Having said that, Bangalore keeps having these rock/metal concerts from time to time. Which gives me hope. I am sure HRC is also commercialised now. The others failed to adapt and died out. Gotta go with the flow huh.
I recently went to Shillong and I was surprised to find a small cafe playing Avenged Sevenfold. My eyes lit up like a baby! I have seen it in full bloom and I have seen it wither and die. A demographic change lead to newer pubs (where music is essentially to shake a leg) and microbreweries for home brewed potions and ambience. The once music pub hopper became an endangered specie. More crowds who just want Bollywood DJs happened. And that brings easy consistent weekly revenue than monthly/quarterly other music shows and performances. Hence this phase, plus many good venues got shut down around pre- covid and covid times. Plus the Kobe Bryant and Gianna Rip 24 gone but not forgotten shirt Also,I will get this monopoly of the paytm insider and book my show was formed instead for individual even organisers. Also now the food scene is boom and more investment in that. It will change and evolve to old times after a while. Give it a couple of years. New venues would be created and DJ hype would be dead and balanced gradually.
