-Finally, and arguably the Karasuno volleyball club shirt it is in the first place but MOST IMPORTANT, the theme of the movie of Batman needing to go from “vengeance” to “hope” is a fundamental betrayal of his character. The cinematography during the final scene on the top of Madison Square Garden basically was trying to make Batman look like Superman. That is simply not Batman. That’s not his character. He’s not a shining light in the darkness. He IS the darkness that also scares the crap out of others who reside there. Remember the quote: “Deep down, Clark’s essentially a good person… and deep down, I’m not” ? Yeah… Ok I could probably keep going given enough time but that’s all I have for now… Let me know your thoughts, guys. I think this movie was pretty good, maybe a 7/10? But you just articulated the flaws perfectly. To add to complaints, it might be minor in comparison but the riddles were super underwhelming. They were easy yet didn’t give the audience 5 seconds to figure it out on their own. The only “oh shit” moment was the carpet tool, but that came out of nowhere because the rest of the riddles were so simple.

Really hope the Karasuno volleyball club shirt it is in the first place but sequel is a tighter film. It’s got strong bones. Just saw it, and man this movie was… not good. There were some serious pacing issues, did we really need to spend an entire minute seeing Batman grab a letter out of a bat cage? I felt this movie’s runtime, and by the end I was frequently checking my phone to see when this movie would end. There’s a large chunk of this film that could be cut out and nothing would be lost imo. The characters themselves were also not that interesting, I was not a fan of emo Bruce Wayne, and Catwoman didn’t have enough of a personality for me to care about her missing girlfriend, or her daddy issues. This film was so heavy with it’s exposition in the mystery story, that it forgot to breath and have character moments. I seriously wonder what the ratio of Batman to Bruce Wayne screentime in this movie is. I think it would easily be the highest of any batman film, cause this movie barely had Bruce himself in it.
