Also delivery demand on a college campus might be minimal as they often have their own businesses, food halls, etc… They may even have a McDonalds or other fast food on site. When I was visiting El Paso and walked into the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this University of Texas campus there, they had a Chik Fil A on site. And honestly until COVID, no one would ever think of having fast food delivered. Its meant for pickup and dine-in. Traditionally the only delivery options have been pizza and Chinese food. I’m not sure where you’re getting this stuff from but college campuses absolutely have deliveries made to them and people regularly got food delivered to them before COVID that wasn’t pizza or Chinese food. When i lived in the dorms, people would get food delivered constantly since the dorms weren’t beside the parking lots and only a few places were within decent walking distance. Now, if you mean the restaurant specifically doing it, then sure, but there were third party services doing it well before COVID. Hell, Uber Eats started in 2014.

Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt: Express with Style

My college only allowed certain delivery places that were entered into their system. i.e. only places where you can spend money from your student account. They claimed it was to cut down on illicit deliveries and they could backtrack who delivered what. Prior to covid, fast food was absolutely delivered. I remember it being the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this hangover strategy in college back when the apps first started really taking off, our town had its own version of grub hub, and being a small college town, 90% of our options were just fast food. McDonalds also has had its own independent delivery service in my current city since at least 2015, as I ordered it for my girls for breakfast post-bachelorette. I’m sure there was some amount of delivery out there. Most McDs are franchised and franchse owners are free to offer additional services in their areas. but in the “old” day sof 2010 and before, it just wasn’t very common in most of the US. If you wanted delivery, your options were:
Major big cities like NYC or LA may have had more options but even in 1-2million+ cities these were your primary options. I remember ordering mcdonald’s to my Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this dorm in 2018 but I live in Canada. I also don’t know anybody in college who elects to order chinese food on a delivery app. Burgers or pizza always. Chinese food is what my parents and grandma choose Didn’t google far enough because McDonald’s has been offering different locales delivery options since 1993 and had an UberEats partnership before Door Dash in 2017. You ordered food for your girls after they got married? Is that what post-bachelorette means? Or did you mean post-baccalaureate? Which would also mean that you ordered them food after they graduated. I’m confused.

Step by step to buy Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt

I had stuff delivered all the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this time in college. Dorm room, pizza for rehearsals, etc. Most places were familiar with the area and would know where to go. That’s not true. 99% of the delivery driving I’ve done was before covid….and a lot of that was fast food to people on a college campus. It’d be mostly fast food late at night because a lot of places would be closed and McDonald’s and Taco Bell would be open. But yes, even people who lived half a mile to a mile away would still order delivery instead of going in person. Answer: A school can always set up a delivery stand to receive deliveries, so there isn’t as much chaos and people wandering around the campus, so I would assume it has to do with safety. You don’t want so many strangers walking around campus, much less campus. Also, the road around schools tend to get congested at certain of the days, because there are so many cars passing by to pick students up.
back when I was in high school, if you got caught ordering Doordash/UberEats to the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this school you were on the hook for a suspension. kinda makes sense that schools don’t want random strangers walking around the property. We would order pizza hut to the cafeteria because we couldn’t get through the lunch lines within a period and have time to eat. Same penalty, but the lunch monitors looked the other way if you shared. i wish the security guards were cool like that for me. those dickheads would take your food and then hand you over to the office if they bagged you I can’t speak for other schools or districts, but for the district I work for, unless the food delivery was planned by the school administration for like a pizza party or something of that nature, they would absolutely tell the delivery driver to go away, and would not let them in.
Schools are supposed to be secure, which means no one in or out unless they have a legitimate reason, related to the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this business of the school, to be there. The school itself ordering pizza for a pizza party as a reward for the students is a legitimate reason related to the business of the school. A teacher or student wanting fast food for lunch is their personal business, and is NOT related to the business of the school, and thus is not a legitimate reason to enter the school building. If a teacher orders food for lunch, they could always wait outside and meet the delivery driver, which gets around this issue. Students though, if they exit the school building without permission, for any reason, that is considered skipping school, and they would be marked truant that day, and would not be allowed back in the building.
They called it a Lunch Box. And it was good. People put lunches in it. They carried those lunch boxes to school, and they were fed. They carried those lunch boxes to work. And they were happy. When I was growing up (IL, graduated HS in 2015), our elementary school had “hot lunch” where 1-2x a week a “local” restaurant would come cater lunch as we didn’t have dedicated cafeteria facilities, assuming your parents paid the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this check on time. The local McDonalds was one. Delivery to huge buildings/campuses where you have to hunt down people is a nightmare and sucks for everyone. There’s a reason most delivery drivers drop it off at the front desk/lobby. Schools/campuses are filled with no tipping, lying, and scamming kids, it’s easier to just block them all than trying to make a minor profit.
A girl at my kids’ high school had McDonald’s delivered by Uber Eats. She thought she was really cool (and apparently other kids did too). Not true. In Canada, kids had skip the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this dishes delivered all the time. We had to put in a rule saying no lunch deliveries (started during Covid, but the teachers didn’t want to give it up after) I used to deliver Jimmy John’s and we just went straight to the office and dropped off the food. Only for the teachers and the kids never saw us. What’s wrong with that? Teachers have very busy lives. Several reasons come to mind. As a former manager of a delivery-based restaurant, we used to take orders from the local high schools. We soon found out that the students weren’t actually allowed to order delivery, so we started refusing to deliver there unless the order was placed by a teacher or faculty member and delivered to the front office. It was a hassle delivering to students anyway. Aside from being against school rules, students often misjudged how long it might take to receive a delivery and if the driver showed up too late (after lunch period, for example), the student would most likely not show up to meet the driver. This wastes a lot of time for the drivers during an already busy lunch, and results in a lot of wasted product. It’s easier and saves everyone a lot of time and money to just refuse to deliver to schools as a blanket policy.
Is it only for certain delivery apps? My friends got McDonald’s delivered to our college campus a few months back Turf protection. Schools run their own racket that separated kids and their lunch money in return for awful food. Well, in the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this case of my daughter’s middle school, it’s because if a delivery person shows up they are denied entry, but not before the name on the order gets recorded and the kid and parent get a very angry message from someone in the office. It’s beneficial for a business to not get bad press in the regular paroxysms of outrage about children spending money on things that other people don’t like. Probably some combination of security and health standards in schools. Maybe sprinkle in a little jealousy from kids eating cafeteria food. When I was in middle school we had a coach that would order us pizza if we pooled our money together but we had to stop because other kids were crying about it. I was shocked to learn my son’s middle school accepts students ordering in pizza but I do hear it creates some chaos. As someone who does DoorDash on the side, I will not deliver to schools now after a year of nothing but bad experiences with it. With college students, it’s always insanely hard to find a place to park, then actually locate the student who placed the order (I don’t go to your school— I don’t know what “next to the quad” or “the sports dorm” is in your definition), AND college students tend to tip terribly if they tip at all. Just a huge waste of time all around. And then with k-12 schools, it’s very often students who are still in class when I arrive (time is money. No, I’m not going to “just wait 15 minutes!” until you’re out of class), and half the time they’re going against school rules anyway. They also tend to tip badly. So, it’s just not worth it to deliver to schools, like at all.
Lucky for me, a lot of restaurants— not just McD’s— have started enforcing this policy as well. One guy told me it was because students tend to leave bad reviews over really small, petty things (one time a student complained there were only two napkins in his order??) in an attempt to get refunds, as well as food orders often getting cold in the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this amount of time it takes to actually reach the student who ordered. It’d probably be a different thing if it was teachers and professors ordering, but that’s just too rarely the case. Also, in some cases it’s regulated by law. I worked in a school district for years. One of the things about our school was it was one of the poorest counties in the state. Because of that, we received extra funding to cover student meals. One of the provisions was that anything that would “compete” with the school food services were banned. We had to remove all snack vending machines because of this. There were also restrictions on school fundraisers that sold food (usually candy bars).
Causes driver wait time issue and causes issues for a school imagine ordering food for lunch and it arrives late or there’s like 20 orders which causes other issues Since when is this policy? I got mcd delivered to college when i was in undergrad and grad school all the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this time from 2012 through 2019… Our school had a no fast food delivery policy for students and teachers. A parent could drop off a bag, but they had to sign in and all that, even if they weren’t actually going any further than the front desk. Fast food delivery is a nightmare because they have to call students down from classrooms to get the stuff and sign it out to the kids. If it’s open at lunch, then it gets mobbed. Our students used to have parents and older siblings who would bring packs up at lunch for like 5-10 kids, which was still a lot. The one concession we made was whole pizzas being passed over the fence with no bags, so the kids would pool money and have little Cesar’s across the street bring over a bunch of hot n ready pizzas. Usually a worker would show be scheduled to end shift at lunch time and bring them across on their way out, for a tip of course. I delivered door dash for a while prior to COVID. One time I had someone have an order to a school, right as school was letting out. So cars everywhere, kids everywhere, and the only way into the school was through the parents pickup line. Took 30 minutes to get through the line, finally was able to get to the parking lot. Of course the office was on the other side of campus, walking the long way around because of locked doors. Finally get in there and they can’t get ahold of whatever staff member ordered the food. All in all, between driving to the restaurant, waiting for the food, and delivering it, it took me an hour and a half. Plus they didn’t tip. All that for $3. I assume I’m not the only one that went through this.
I worked at a mcdonalds in 2004 where we had an order for 26 mchickens and 25 quarter pounders with fries and drinks for an elementary school. Just finished making and boxing all this food before they canceled the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this order. Should’ve got the money up front with no refunds. Ended up handing it out to people stuck in traffic and employees helping themselves. McDonald’s took a big hit in the 90s for marketing to children; between the toys, the Fry Gang, and the playgrounds, it was pretty hard to deny. I’d bet this policy is probably them being overly-cautious in the wake of their rebranding. considering half the drivers probably have a court order not to be within 500 feet of a school, its just easier to say no to all orders from schools. I believe that many schools have policies on healthy eating which parents do not like, and this resulted in high profile cases where parents would deliberately order McDonalds to the school and pass it to their kids through the fence in order to pointedly contravene a policy they disagreed with. I imagine McD’s wanted nothing to do with this kind of controversy and so have just set a global policy to avoid being accused of picking and choosing.
In my experience, the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this school systems control what’s eaten there with an iron hand. I believe it’s about nutritional experiments to see if certain kids will turn out skinny/healthy vs. fat/unhealthy if they’re fed certain things as a child, in school. Being able to get anything that actually tastes good could ruin the entire thing. I’ve heard about a couple of instances where some assistant principal or SRO threw out a kid’s Lunchables, saying it wasn’t healthy. I also heard about a couple of school systems that bought out a local food stand because it was so close, the kids were going over there to get hamburgers for lunch. That’s going far, for something that maintains they’re financially strapped. They must want this very badly.
In the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this US, it’s so they don’t conflict with the school allergy policy. And because McBulletproof vests are expensive. Edit: and they’ve been sued for being unhealthy. Really? I had them delivered just fine when I still worked in Australia. This was through Ubereats though, if you mean the official delivery then I’ve never tried. Before the pandemic my kid and their friends were getting DoorDash delivered to bleachers during lunch and after school. Never to the building itself though. Luckily they deliver to the dorms. But getting your food gets dicey if you aren’t quick I imagine the disruption of a student saying “Mr Smith, I need to leave the class, my McDonalds is here” gets old really fast. Plus the delivery driver having to wait overly long for said student compared to delivering to any other customer
Speculation after working at a highly controversial company, but as another person mentioned: policy, PR, and regulatory concerns. Older companies understand very well, either through experience or bringing on experienced leadership, that doing anything with children is a surefire way to give politicians all the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this ammo they need to go after you hard for an easy win. South Africa. McDonald’s is the top take away order for my teacher colleagues for lunch lol. Must be a North American or European thing
Isn’t that the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this Olympic garden? Heck, show a picture of it currently, not from weeks after it was built. That building was purpose built for one thing and hasn’t been well maintained because there’s no more purpose. The US has lost its way. And may never come back. Priorities are focused on pointless countries, while our infrastructure is falling apart, homeless camps are everywhere, kids starving, and mental health is a huge issue, and drug addiction is a norm. But let’s print some money and help this country that has no real use, except for military applications. I don’t know if it’s still happening but didn’t China have that huge flooding where victims believed the CP were somewhat behind it? If you not invest you get nothing. If you drink oil you have nothing left for public transportation. Its not the fault of Biden, its that of the oil lobby and everyone who supports it.
America would easily achieve that if people and politicians stopped being at each other’s throats all the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this time. Unrelated thing I’ve been told to be mad about because I don’t understand the difference between federal spending and local spending, or how budgets work. The juxtaposition of these two images is disingenuous, but I guarantee “the rest of China” isn’t nearly as bad as OP has been propagandized to believe. “Here’s an arbitrary moment in time compared to another arbitrary (but completely different) moment in time at similar (but not equal) locations. This tells an entire story about 2 governments and you should accept my argument as coming from good faith even though the argument itself proves bad faith.”
Makes no sense. I’m sure that NY subways don’t look like that in general. It looks like some kind of catastrophe that occurred. And he’s comparing it with a subway in a country where that catastrophe did not. The irony is that the Juneteenth Freedom Day Seattle Seahawks shirt moreover I will buy this person in the image is the kind of person who votes for the representative who keeps the US in shit hole mode. Left is infrastructure bills in Congress Right is republicans killing them in favor of tax cuts to the super wealthy. I could easily show a high-end penthouse apartment in Manhattan, alongside a dirty slum building in Beijing. Or a new Jeep Grand Cherokee driving down a clean road in LA, beside a rusted out cargo bicycle on a nasty road in Wuhan. LOL. Do you think it would stay looking the same in NYC if it was built? The people in NYC have what they deserve. The state of US infrastructure is indeed a huge problem, but OP clearly wasn’t;t paying attention to which side proposes infrastructure spending and which side denies, over and over. Additionally Illegal immigrants don’t get free healthcare accept in the Right wing fever dream. Yeah we have a problem, richest country on the planet and in history but 80 percent of the country can’t feed itself. Hmmm? wonder what the problem is? But you go ahead and keep de regulating. Mega corps will someday begin to responsibly manage themselves if we gibe them enough chances… USA had massive lobbyism for the roads and public transportation always get the short stick there, because it is not about the peoples needs. in China they don’t like their roads getting used for more than economical reasons or tank driving, especially because they have way to many people they cannot stuff on the roads. Public transportation there are prestige projects because you can not only move a lot of people, but also show off and controll more.
