Joaquin Phoenix Joker what do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner Halloween shirt

Not feeling this, not only would Joaquin Phoenix Joker what do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner Halloween shirt seems too similar to Watchmen which used the joke, it doesn’t really advance anything in the plot or the character development at least in the context of this scene. This change halts any tension there was in the scene. It’s supposed to be shapeless and out of nowhere, less of a joke, more of a rant. This almost makes it seem as if there was a plan/structure to follow which goes against the sporadic act of Joker killing Murray. What I loved about this scene is the feeling of entrapment.

I just don’t see Joaquin Phoenix Joker what do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner Halloween shirt change supplementing. The film at all if anything it detracts from the mood the scene was aiming for. I feel like Phoenix could pull it off, make it feel natural. I also think it does more for Arthur’s character than the original line, which is just him point-blank announcing the point of the film. You know Arthur is going to kill Murray as soon as he cuts off his joke. At least framing the idea in a joke makes it less obvious, more like he’s taking the audience on a ride before suddenly taking a sharp nosedive into homicide.

Besides, the story of Pagliacci the clown has Joaquin Phoenix Joker what do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner Halloween shirt thematic relevance to the rest of the film, how Arthur feels constantly rebuffed or ignored by authority, seen as something less than a person because it’s easier to laugh at a problem than to cure it. It also ties into how the upper class exploit people like Arthur and see them as simpletons, people whose lives play out as little more than entertainment. The upper and middle classes wanted a clown, and the Joker is what they got.
