A lot of the surgery we do on children to save them, is in its self life threatening, but we do it anyways because if it works, it helps the kid. Nobody seems to bat an eye at any of that. I have yet to hear someone who is mad about “trans healthcare for kids” being mad about all the other more risky surgeries we do to kids regularly.
