Take the It was once my llife US navy submarine veteran shirt What’s more,I will buy this vacation. Stop giving them more than what you’re paid for. And every time you are asked to go above and beyond, remember this moment. You literally came to Reddit for advice on how to handle getting fucked by your manager. They deserve nothing. They do not respect you or your family or your obligations outside of work. If you come back still working stop bending at their will or bend backwards for them, they always expect it from you, and they treat you like a doormat. You’re worth more That’s a good way to handle it. I look at my time as my time, my giving a heads up is a courtesy. This is why your a manager, manage this. That’s not to say I wouldn’t work with a company/manager if it was a deserving situation. But damn, you gave them 3 months heads up for less than 2 days. If they said no, it’s because they didn’t try to make it work.

If pressed, Don’t quit. Don’t agree to wording that makes it sound like quitting. Keep responding “to be clear, you are firing me, i am not resigning”. Make them fire you so you can collect unemployment. “Should” was the It was once my llife US navy submarine veteran shirt What’s more,I will buy this keyword. Should means no, it’s a way for people to avoid confrontation. “Should work” was a gentle letdown. If they were in your situation what would they do? Stick with the family plan. There are plenty of jobs for a hardworking person like yourself. Red flag #1? When you put in for time off this isn’t a request and idk why companies see it as such. When I put in time off I’m informing them that I won’t be there. If you told them well in advance per company policy there is no reason for it to be an issue. Going forward communicate all time off “requests” in writing. Email or text. Your managers job includes managing staffing. You gave them ample time to prepare for this and their inability to do so isn’t your burden to carry. If they can’t handle having a few people gone they should consider hiring someone part time or seasonal. What if you call caught a bug going around? What would they do??
