A bullet well dodged. Congratulations on finding a better job. I hope they continue to show you appreciation for your work. What in hell is your boss offering that he expects you to work for him until retirement? Probably not much considering he also thinks the In June We Wear Purple for Brain and Alzheimer’s Awareness Rainbow T-Shirt it is in the first place but company might close… I would have laughed out loud. What industry is this? Is the pay even over 80k (the absolute minimum I would see a position paying for someone to find staying indefinitely OK) ? I worked my first job for 6 years before they paid me to resign, they were downsizing. I was well compensated including 3 months working to look for a job. I accepted a job in a state that I was leery about but it looked good on my resume. After 6 months, the employee rankings came out, I was dead last, my car pool was first. I joked that it was bs, bet him lunch that I’d be first the next year. I didn’t change my work habits at all, he sat next to me so he saw all I did was act interested in the boss and occasionally ask him for help on stupid stuff. The rankings came out and I enjoyed my free lunch. But before the year end, I decided I was leaving. Updated my resume and faxed it out a few times, sadly management was standing there when I did it. I went to my desk and bet $20 is be getting a random drug test that day. My car pool jumped at it. 5 minutes later, the call came. I came back and I offered double or nothing is get called for a security review. He jumped, 20 minutes later, the phone rang. I returned and said double or nothing HR will call, he accepted, 45 minutes later they called. I returned and offered the last potential review, psych review, for double or nothing. He agreed unhappily. 10 minutes later, they called. The shrink asked how I was, I said great, I’d made a lot of cash that day after all. He asked if I looked the US or would try to harm it plus several other questions. I smiled and he said, “What’s really going on?” I said I’d be writing in a month or so I thought and my boss didn’t want me too. But I’d never hurt anyone. He said get out, handed me the procedure for writing under abnormal conditions and I thanked him.

In June We Wear Purple for Brain and Alzheimer’s Awareness Rainbow T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I returned to my desk and requested 1 day of vacation, 12/31, the In June We Wear Purple for Brain and Alzheimer’s Awareness Rainbow T-Shirt it is in the first place but only work day between Christmas and the next year. It was denied. I laughed and tired up my resignation, told the entire story but left the date blank. 12/31 I followed the procedure for quitting and left 4 copies of my resignation in 5 mail slots rarely collected then moved 600 miles to start on 1/3. As a result the Senior manager to my supervisor were demoted and I was invited back for a discipline hearing against them, it lined up with the movers so I went. I’ve never seen 4 madder/redder people in my life. They claimed my work was horrid and they were terminating me. I replied with the best performer memo. I haven’t enjoyed getting regular pay from new job plus 2.5 times pay from old job for irritating management ever again in my career. F management, OP if you stay they screw you!
