Jesus, I was a hot mess in my 20s. Early and mid at least. Working 60 hours a week at a dead-end office job because I couldn’t find a job in my field. Wasn’t dating anyone because hello? Shit job & excessively long work weeks does not a fun time make. Also had an awful lemon car that costs thousands in repairs every 8-12 weeks. Damn POS.

Now I’m very settled, and boring, living a life the me of 15-20 years ago could only dream of. I try to think about that when I find myself bored and annoyed. I’m 30 and not even close to having it all figured out. Times are a lot harder and we live in a world that’s obsessed with perfectionism and surround by constant reminders on social media of how seemingly “perfect” some people’s lives are. It’s not always easy to do but the best advice anyone can give is to focus on being a better version of yourself than you were yesterday, last year, etc. Not being better than or matching up to other people. What they lack you may have and what they have may not be all it seems.
