I agree, I think everyone just forgot or got used to the bosses. Gael was nightmare fuel. You literally have to learn every.single.move. AND the right direction to roll, then you have to learn when to attack/heal. Oh and there’s 3 phases. In ER you can over farm instantly because the best farming area is so easy to get to. The mimic can carry you through anything. Horse. Tons of Grace points. There’s just so many things that made ER easier imo. Maliketh has a crazy moveset for sure, but it’s made up for by being a glass cannon, he has significantly less HP than every other boss in his tier (Malenia, Godfrey, and Radagon all have way more HP)

Moveset issues, some bosses (majority at the I’m Having A Nice Day Don’t Screw It Up T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this end) have followup attacks after a long string that trigger ONLY if you try to attack, which means the string is no longer safe to punish (unless it somehow does the string on it’s own or you are using some quick weapon). In Sekiro, avoiding a long string can be rewarding or builds you towards that reward (deflect/parry or whatever you call it builds up poise break for punish) In ER, the long string you avoid can reward you with nothing. Even attacking in neutral is discouraged as bosses often rev up their attack in response to being hit. I believe the argument will be “use spirit summons” but at that point the boss just get their aggro on the summons and you can safely murder the boss like it’s a piñata from the back and trivialises the entire moveset.
