When i carry something, I don’t like really big but I do expect a book and water bottle to fit. I like purses but try to keep the clutter to a minimum. I really like big, bold purses and bucket bags. And I really want a Marc Jacobs “The Bucket Bag” so I think we might have different tastes if you’re opposed to logos ? I’m also very picky about bags, but I got the Staud Alec bag for my birthday and I really really love it. It is so classy, simple, and sleek (I like to call it aerodynamic lol), and while it doesn’t hold a TON of stuff I actually appreciate that it makes me pare down my belongings to what I need for a night out. I am so chronically guilty of overstuffing my bags with random shit I never use. edit: missed your sentence about disliking hyper structured bags- it’s interesting you read them as super femme! I’ve always associated corners and rigid surfaces with masculinity. I dress relatively androgynously and I find that structured bags usually add to that vibe

I’ve discovered i pretty much only like crossbody bags with a top zipper, and they have to be a generous size cause I carry a ton of shit. This isn’t as easy to find as you might think, since crossbody bags tend to be smaller. My perfect designer bag is I think the I Read Banned Books Week Librarian Freedom Reader Nerd Vintage T-Shirt and I love this Loewe Puzzle bag, either small or medium. I thought it was the medium, but then I went in store and good god, the medium is big! So now I’m thinking Puzzle in small, dark blue, used. I think I can find one used in good condition for under $2,000. Now I just have to accept spending that kind of money on a purse. I hate purses, I carry everything in my pockets. Which isn’t much: phone, cardholder, keys. I just like being handsfree and like not having straps against my body. So in the winter, this is easy because all my jackets/hoodies have pockets. The summer though, this is when I sometimes have to carry a purse.
