I’m all for investing in things like renewable fuel from soybeans. But the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this fact I got payments on beans pissed me off. I can store my beans to capture potentially better markets. Can’t really store my pigs. I mean I love what I do. I love continually finding ways to get better, to improve, become more sustainable both environmentally and economically. And the animal husbandry is the side of things I love the most in the farm. I love walking the barns every day, checking the piggies. It’s a job but a passion too. Ever since I was a little kid following my dad around I’ve wanted to farm. I get to go to work every day with my parents and with my brother and I love it. So I’m gonna fight like hell to make it possible for my kids to farm alongside me some day if they so choose. I’d rather not have our food production solely in the hands of a few.
Hole live through this vintage shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt
I mean Chinese company WH group owns Smithfield. Jbs swift is Brazilian. Hormel and Tyson are American owned last I checked. I have yet to hear of any families like my own getting bought by china. There’s absolutely consolidation and I don’t think it’s healthy or sustainable in our food supply. But answers like china bought them out does nothing to further the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this conversation to find a better path forward. Remember the outbreak inside the meat plants during covid. The companies wouldn’t do anything to help protect the workers and the government of the time sat back while people died of COVID. Now people have strange ailments, brain fog, caused by brain damage from what they said was little more than the FLU. I’ve been around a long time to know that the flu kills people, but I haven’t seen so many young people maimed and killed by a disease. The greatest failure of human policy in our country while the government of the time sat by, while we argued about the politics of wearing a mask. Masks are what is important right? LOL. We have more scientific knowledge than we’ve ever known, yet we acted with less prudence than 12th-century illiterate peasants. Was it worth it guys? Was it worth all the death and suffering that was caused? Will anyone remember your name in 1000 years? Nope. Most of us will be buried in the shallow grave of history on top of those who paid for our vanity and decadence!
Correction, what they CALL the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this flu. Influenza is what puts you on the toilet with the bathroom garbage can in your lap because it’s coming from both ends. What they call the flu is some sniffles and a head cold Not to be pedantic, but coming from both ends is more of a gastrointestinal bug/virus. Influenza can have those but is more respiratory accompanied by high fever. I was a division 3 athlete in college (think very fit and in shape, not athletic lol). Got influenza and ran a fever of like 102 for like 4-5 days. Lost like 20 lbs and took me like a month to get the stamina to run more than a mile. That shit can be scary and kick your ass. My kiddos bring home the GI shit like once a year too. I’ll take shitting my pants for a week if I never have to dry heave again

Description for Hole live through this vintage shirt
This is the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this one I don’t get the most. I’m an ag journalist in California and have been reporting on the effects of tariffs on major ag commodities for the last few years. It really messes up our ability to market products in growing markets like China, India, etc. So why would any reasonable self-respecting grower consider voting for Trump after he messed up those trade relations so badly? The Biden administration has been undoing a lot of that the past four years. Whole heartedly agree. My neighbors vote against themselves and don’t see the irony in it. Democrats haven’t been as adept at connecting to rural America so fox news and the like gained more of a foothold and gave targets to blame (ie anyone different than us, especially if skin is darker tone). It’s a real shame Trump’s trade war destroyed their business and he gave them socialist “please vote for me again” pity payments.
The ones I know are some of the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this biggest whiners/victims, especially airing their politics/grievances on Facebook. They act like everyone hates them yet they selflessly do so much for us. Most of them are the wealthiest people in my town by far and together own most of the county, and control the politics. For the record I also know a few smaller farmers who struggle and it is a tough business and a lot of work if you didn’t get it handed down through generations or start with a load of cash. But the way these big guys act drives me nuts, and then they think the Republicans are the way, who don’t give a single solitary shit about them. There’s a farm I drive past occasionally with a “Don’t tread on me” flag flying. Undoubtedly receives huge subsidies, and the “farmhouse” is a fairly new construction McMansion.
Let’s just go ahead and get this out there. His being a farmer is not the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this reason Fox has him on to complain about Biden. And much of it is from stockpiles that would have been used by our own soldiers against who? It’s a proxy war that costs us a fraction of our weapons and none of our soldiers. People defending their own country’s existence will put up a stronger fight than those sent to defend a land they have no skin in. In keeping with the trend of over-arming the fuck out of police departments, maybe we should prioritize domestic anti-aircraft needs It goes to American workers who make new weapons for America and earn their wages through it. The old stock is sent to Ukraine. about a third of ukraine aid is old equipment, another third is cash, and the rest is new weapons and support services. Very approximately. Seriously, people are so stupid. These weapons have shelf lives. They take them from the stock pile give them to Ukraine. Our weapon manufactures create more weapons and create jobs and more money in the economy, etc. War is big business, meanwhile we get to fight a proxy war with one of our enemies for the fraction of the cost without boots on the ground. If Putin wins, the rest of us are fucked. I would send money to Ukraine (and Palestine) if I had enough disposable income to do so.
Sending money to Ukraine so they can fight the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this war themselves and weaken Russia in the process is the best value for money proposition you’re likely to see. Of course it’s not like the Republikans will support pushing back on Papa Bear Vlad as he tries to take Eastern Europe and beyond. I mean I’m proud blue and am all in favor of aid to Ukraine. And there’s sectors of farming that are doing well. But as a farmer let’s keep a couple things in context. That “wealth” is definitely there and not disputing that but keep in mind farming is incredibly capital intensive (which makes entry into it almost impossible sadly). One tillable acre in southern MN is give or take 10,000. And to support a family on that income you likely need to operate somewhere between 500-1500 acres depending on some variables. I’m a hog farmer. And independent hog farms are facing extinction. I don’t blame Biden for that (Trump was the absolute worst). But we need enforcement on anti competitive practices in an industry facing heavy consolidation. Our 3 families under the family farm sell 25,000 pigs a year. We lost money on every pig this year. My hope is to reach $5 margin per pig, but rarely do we over the last decade (keep in mind this is 3 families that gets spread out to). We have a boat load of safety nets to keep the lights on on the crop side (which there’s good and bad with). But until we’re able to enable a true free market and not the sham we sell into now we need some on the hog side or it’ll all be fully integrated. Two weeks ago, 75 head were negotiated in this country. 40% of the pigs sold in this country have a direct tie back to cash through their formula pricing. There were 490,000 sent to market that day. Those 75 head have a hugely disproportionate impact on the market. And there’s no way for us to know if it’s a farmer selling to a packer or if it’s Smithfield selling pigs they raised to another packer (75 pigs is not even half a semi load). So a packer could take a hickey on selling a part load in order to buy back thousands of pigs cheaper due to a lower cash price.
I’d love to know what constitutes the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this 1.3m in “wealth” referenced. I’d imagine that includes their land, and other assets like equipment. A farmer could easily have 1m in assets and still be losing money. Absolutely! And are there any liabilities included in that wealth valuation? I mean we run an operating line of 700,000 in the hope of turning a maybe 50,000 profit on the hog side. Our 10 year old combine cost us 225,000 this past year. Amazes me how often we as farmers lose money and blame the “dems.” I will say democrats have not been great at connecting with rural america, and that’s provided the avenue for Fox News and their ilk to further the divide One older fella that I worked with had given up farming back in the 90’s, and said that while he earned a lot of money farming, he would end up moving it right back out. Farmers can never get enough support in my mind. As smallholders get squeezed by factory farms on the bottom line, we should do everything we can to support you and others facing harder and harder conditions. I respect any person that lives their lives making our lives go. Thank you.
Thank you! Appreciate the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this kind words! I will say it frustrates me to no end how many counterparts I have that actively vote against their own best interests, without realizing it. And I despise how common it is in rural America for people to embrace hateful/willfully ignorant stances towards any group of people different than themselves. In the words of Dr Seuss, “A persons a person no matter how small.” I completely agree that the household wealth quote is misleading due to the amount of capital needed to run a farm. Fucking meat packers. There’s only 4, and they work together to keep prices low for them, then turn around and charge $10 for a single steak just because they cut it. And it’s tough to truly explain to people why we continue to farm. But it’s really truly a legacy and a way of life. But it sucks to get squeezed on selling and in buying inputs. I will say the consolidation on the retail side of things has definitely exacerbated things and ultimately it’s the consumer and the farmer that get screwed.
I have to ask—when was the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this last time you bought acreage in southern MN? Because when we bought our farm, we paid $16,000 a tillable acre. One of our fellow land owners is now trying to sell a piece of their land for $50,000 an acre (it won’t sell at that price, as they’re trying to sell it as land that can be developed for housing, and the zoning regulations don’t allow that, as it’s zoned agricultural and surround by tilled fields on all sides). Just curious. No need to respond if you’d rather not. Oh no worries, I mean we buy land as we’re able. We’re close enough to the cities that ability to build for housing definitely comes into play. We’ve never paid more than about 12,000 (got a 160 by Mankato back in the pandemic for 4,500 on accident because it was sealed bid and no one showed up to the auction, I equate that to winning the lottery. Likely worth 3x that just 3 years later). But depending on soil, tile, outlets, and a couple other variables I see anywhere from 8-20,000 an acre. You get what you pay for. 10,000 was just an easy baseline to use.
That’s just one farmer. It’s a tough job that requires a ton of money. But the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this Ukraine aid is not going to impact what farmers can get if they need it. Shame on Biden for not providing farmers with US abrams to help plough their fields and provide javelins to protect their properties from the convoy of immigrants coming to loot their farms and As-90 howitzers to provide long range artillery to protect from antifa at long range like why do these people not realise they are donating the US their surplus military equipment and a few modern hardware to fill Ukraine’s gap it allows for the US to get rid of uneeded ammo that would otherwise be denoted at sea with it being wasted as well as causing pollution. It also good for the US economy as it allows for jobs in the military industrial complex. (Even though the military industrial complex is horribly bloated I rather the weapons be used for a good cause rather than be wasted in a warehouse )
Does wealth mean liquid assets or all assets? What is the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this range of data? If there’s families running giant corporate size farms are they included? I feel like there’s not enough info. just the land necessary for farming is a ton of money towards net worth, let alone livestock, house, farm equipment. a John deer cost like half a mill nowadays right? That’s why I’m asking what is meant by wealth here. $1.3 mil would be a lot of money but it’s not a big farm, especially considering land prices. After giving Trump admin a blank check to hand out subsidies and tax cuts like candy. How do you have the audacity to be like that? These big farm farmers always put on the “aww shucks I’m just a poor farmer” and then get back in their 4 door dually pickup with all the options. Sure they work hard, but they aren’t doing farm labor. That’s the farm laborers. The poor small operation farmer is kind of a thing of the past. These mega farms basically operate regulation-free. They pollute water, they clear-cut forests, they drive liquid manure trucks on roads, they pay little taxes, they burn whatever they want whenever they want and then their products are all subsidized. Oh not to mention the labor laws they completely circumvent. I’m so tired… I read the title as “Megan Fox lies and propaganda” and was searching for what Megan Fox had to with farms.
The Biden administration specifically forgave all delinquent farmer debts on USDA loans and brought everyone current. The average forgiveness amount per delinquent farmer was over $200,000. It cost billions. They’re continuing to forgive farmer debt every year. Ironically, the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this recipients of that forgiveness are part of the same group that screamed about 10-20k loan forgiveness for student debt holders. Yes, farmers could be classed as wealthy. But that is in the value of their land and equipment. Many people farm in highly desirable locations that if zoned for residential could bring them in a lot of money, or they own a lot of land. They also own a lot of equipment which is expensive and highly valuable. This is where a lot of their ‘wealth’ lies. Locked up in land and equipment, which is hardly on tap should they run into cash problems. Meanwhile, most forms of farming are barely economically viable. Arable farming is probably more lucrative compared to livestock farming, the latter of which has been running at a loss per animal for about 15 years. Farmers work stupidly long hours, from dawn until dusk, for barely $18 an hour – when the living wage in the US is around $24 an hour.
I mean, the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this guy here may be stupid for his point on Ukraine and farming. But to suggest that farmers are “doing just fine” is just as wilfully stupid. Absolutely on the livestock farming. Most people I know have the next generation coming back on the crop side, but livestock sector continues to shrink while consolidation marches on. The big get bigger. Family farm of 1000 acres and marketing 25,000 pigs a year and there’s not enough for anyone to farm full time. 3 families (brother and his family, my fam and my parents). It never ceases to amaze me how much backlash you face on trying to refine monopoly legislation. The fact that I’m worried my markets disappear if I speak up speaks volumes for the lack of competition in the market place.
Tough part is it’s more than a profession. It’s truly a way of life. No matter the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this economic outlook there’s this almost intangible feeling of hope and optimism that comes with every new group of little pigs, or planting every spring. I truly love what I do. And I hope the farm is sustainable enough that u can pass that passion and legacy onto my son or daughter. Obviously not gonna force it. But best way I heard it described was from my 75 year old neighbor who sold his 140 cow dairy. He remembered when he took over the farm, his dad would sit in a bale next to him every evening while he milked and they’d just talk. And he just wanted to get the chance to sit on that bale while his kids milked but realized there wasn’t enough for any of them to come back to. One of the nicest but toughest people I’ve known, and he broke down crying telling us that
Just cause your daddy was a farmer doesn’t entitle you to be one. Nor does being a farmer mean you are good at it. You could be failing like every other bad business owner or there. I’m not entitled to be a furniture store owner just because my daddy was one. I have to run my business right and maintain it. At some point it might make more sense to move on, rather than go down with the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this ship. I think an important thing to note here is that it is a family business generally. And yes poorly run businesses are destined to fail. But the challenge is there’s so much consolidation on both the input side and. On the market side like in livestock. This often leads to a lack of price discovery and the red flags of anti competitive practices without a smoking gun. The farmer and the consumer in the grocery store are the losers at the end of the day. I’m not entitled to run our farm and be successful but I sure as fuck should be entitled to have fair markets to both buy and sell in and u don’t. So let’s expand that discussion beyond an easy out and address some pretty big glaring issues in agriculture, one of the biggest in my eyes being that lack of a fair market
My dad owned a furniture store, and both myself and my brother both own stores now as well. It’s family business here too. I agree there is a lack of fair market, we lack that fair market in many areas in business too. But sometimes even with fair market, failure is an option. And when it is what you suggest, it’s better to get out than fail, and then blame the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this unfair market. Sometimes you gotta know when to cut and run. I haven’t had to do that yet, but my dad did, he spent his entire life starting various businesses and some did great, some failed, and some started as 1 and end up the other. But. IT is a job, and if you choose to fail because it was my daddy’s farm. Your daddy needs to reach out from the grave and slap you. At some point, a business that was profitable can become not profitable, and people need to look for new opportunities.
Farmers seem like the Hole live through this vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this only profession where it’s not acceptable to tell them to do something different, when it’s good advice. They are already the most subsidized people on earth. Bitching when anyone else gets a buck and screeching socialism. I understand free speech and all that, but c’mon , Fox shouldn’t be allowed to just spew lies that less intelligent Americans think is real Even Republican voters also love “socialism”…. for themselves. They just take serious issue with the whole “universal” or “for all” parts of any welfare program that they will vote against it. No joke went to a concert in Indiana in December. On the way there saw like 20 billboards for 1 single farm that also acted like a tourist trap. Any farm that can afford all that doesn’t need government help. There’s an inaccurate nostalgic romance about farming families in the United States. My parents think there are thousands of small farms feeding America, and that for some reason democratic politicians want them to all die off. “What will happen to your precious suburbs and cities if we stop sending you food?” I dunno, probably keep importing enormous quantities of food grown elsewhere and keep buying from the huge corporations that stock the great value brand that is the exclusive brand in your fridge. Can someone point me in the direction to see where this trillion is to be spent The only reason the farmers have that wealth is because they own a couple of 500 k John Deere tractors Not all farmers are poor but most of the poor farmers were put out of business. Watching the news from anyone is very deceptive if you don’t have the real life experiences as to what they are trying to deceive you about. Remember the Iran contra scandal where the govt made you believe it never happened and was a complete lie. How about the fact our govt hooked the black population on crack in their efforts to sell more cocaine Farmers are just trying to not become extinct
